This is the rerelease of the December 1941 1/350 kit with minor decal changes and some aircraft representing the 1942 battle of Midway. I built my one with the factory addition photo etch sets. Amazing model.
It seems the Japanese Navy defused smoke from exhaust with sea water. Then directing it down. The review & kit is a dream kit. I have all 6 carriers from the Pearl Harbor operation in 1/700 scale. This review is fantastic for color reference.
Where & how did you aquire so much P E for the AKAGI build . I have looked at the HASAGAWA website n I see nothing like the large detail up kit that you have built. Can you advise me or point me to the place / person
I'd love to get one of these kits, but its bloody impossible to get a hold of them in the UK, let alone rural Wales without paying twice as much in shipping!
