you have a very clear way of explaining the techniques you feature.
Just met Marcelo and two other great musicians at Cafe Madrid, where they were playing. They were all fantastic. Not only is Marcelo a brilliant guitarist but also a great person! We sat and talked as if we had been friends a long time. I agree with Spangari, his coversations are very entertaining and he can keep you laughing. All three of them made it a very wonderful night for my wife and I. We look forward to seeing them play again !
Thank you Marcelo! Just what I was searching for!

Yes!
Great lesson. Working on it and coming back to it again and again develops the scale improv. Very nice.

He's Argentinian, though -- not Spanish.
He's not Spanish but from South America - I'm going for Argentina or Chile.
That would make him Latin

Your the best teacher man
Me gusta! Bravo, sir.
Lol! Love Mr. Berestovoy, besides teaching flamenco, he's teaching Spanish! "Falmenco, not flamingo. Flamingo is a bird. "
@RicardoDiazHimself E phrygian at the beguining of the lesson, then It's E Phrygian Dominant, the 5th mode of the melodic minor scale.
"Flamenco" and Not 'flamingo' flamingo its a bird! " waving with he's hands..
I love this teacher! 😃😃😃😃😃🏆💯
Your such a COOL Guy!
One of the Best Guitar teacher out there!
And your my teacher also.
Greetings to you and keep on doing a Perfect work.
Thank you :-) Glad you enjoyed the lesson and the Flamingo impersonation :-) marceloberestovoy.com/guitar-lessons/
It's called an E dominant Phrygian scale. It also sounds good if you switch to an E minor harmonic scale with this- gives it further depth.
Thx for the right hand technique of using the "come here" stroke, instead of what I've been doing, the mistaken way that you have pointed out.
excellent video !
Best teacher.
I play flamingo I just have a problem with pink feathers all over the house
Well it made 'me' laugh 😂
Great teacher.
Hi. I tried this out last night. Harder than it looks but I got there. Just wondering something. What is the purpose of the rest stroke with your thumb?
It gives you more volume and a rounder tone to make the bass melody stand out. However, you may notice that when playing faster I switch to free strokes. Contact me on facebook if you'd like more info on my lessons
Marcelo what guitar exactly do you use in the video? I really like the sound / action of it.
Love your patient explanations... Very help to set up my rumba rhythm.... Can you tell me if that is a tuner on the body of your guitar and if so who makes it...Cheers continue the great playing!!!...
The last 5mins of the video were amazing!
i practic everday.. so hard,, but don't give up
4:40 Flamenco, not Flamingo! that's a bird.
+Said Abed can u teach us guitar instead of talking bullshits ?
+greatest leader it's not bullshit. If you will respect the guitar and its technique, respect the proper name of the technique.
+Ramon Tristani calm down its just a name
greatest leader I was quoting the fucking guy. Bitch ass.
People just don't really know the art of having conversation anymore... How sad...
Great teacher! - THX a lot - - and some of your comments lighten me up: Flamingo is a bird :D
If UA-cam had been available years ago, I might be able to play by now😄
@777Grindcorian I use a pick sometimes when I play Jazz tunes. Or if I break a nail in the middle of a gig! :)
@MilanPolak given the key. The Phrygian Mode 1st position played in the key of E has no sharps or flats. It is all the same notes as C major as he said.
Very nice Flamenco technique that is great for improvisation right away!
he makes it look so easy.
Holy! i love this man
This guy is definitely one of the best teachers at MI.
God, I LOVE the Phyrgian scale! How great does it sound when he plays the first 3 notes of that scale in the form of a Spanish triplet! On another note why is there an almost 5 minutes long gap at the end of this video?
Verry good teaching
@Simmen12 LOL yes, you're right. I thought you meant if the gtr was connected from the pick up to a pre amp. I have no idea.......I It's the board they have in the concert hall at MI.
Good teacher!
Me gusta mucho se musica. Muy Bien. Gracias
Are there any more examples of this I only found 1 other video this is exactly what I wanna learn thank you
Yes! Go to my lesson page and click on the "Jamplay" option: marceloberestovoy.com/guitar-lessons/
You can get more volume from a rest stroke to emphasize the bass line as a melody. But free strokes are ok as well and more practical when you playing faster.
MARSLO - YOU ARE THE BEAST
todá
love that guy
hats off!
