Justine what a refreshing video to watch after all of the hurricane updates on the news stations. Keep up your great orchid growing. We've got so many cattleyas in sheath; fall will be a much better and hopefully cooler month as we grow forward. Thank goodness south Florida managed to dodge Hurricane Helene. Rest up this weekend and get out in the fresh air. Respectfully,
Thank you I have some cleaning up to do from the storm but yes very fortunate here. I was actually out of town just got back today. But excited to do an update when I get a chance. Thanks for watching 🤗
Thank you my friend 🤗 the spotted one is Day Tripper it smells amazing too love that one. Yes my oldest has a few orchids that are his. He picked them out and really enjoys checking on them.
Lots of beautiful blooms! And such a varied collection. Do you get slugs and snails from the grass around your orchid structure or do the lizards eat them? I could never put mine that close to the ground w/o getting those slimy critters (copper tape barriers help a bit). Looking forward to future bloom updates - you have a nice collection and peaceful way of presenting your blooms. 😀
@@marylalone7104 I want to eventually get rid of the grass I am just not sure what my permanent structure will be yet. I have noticed sometimes I get more fungus in the plants lower. I have snakes and lizards that I think eat the slugs and snails I don’t see much of them also birds might help with eating them too I am but sure 🤷♀️. Thank you so much for the kind words and watching 🤗
