I run a similar build with this mech I do 2 MRM 40’s and 2 MRM 20’s and 5 Rocket Launcher 10’s. The heat management is the same as this one except you have the extra punch of the rockets. I stripped the arms a bit to get enough heat sinks since they don’t shield very well anyways
Problem is that you're forced into a STD engine since the MRM10s take up more space. That said, you can go with 2xMRM40 & 2xMRM20 and still get less heat and less tonnage that 4xMRM30. Can even squeeze in an LFE350 if you don't mind skipping leg day.
I got hit yesterday by one of these builds during Manifold... My marauder IIC has ECM and AMS but it did no good , it was a "rain" of black dots hundreds of them for like 2 to 3 seconds ,took all my components and armor , I was a stick man / zombie ...I had no idea what had just hit me, and it was over a large area too, like an AC-130 gunship had unloaded on me.. scary stuff..
Loved seeing the anti-nascar Is it possible to chainfire 2xMRM30 weapon groups to avoid ghost heat? Ive tried the MRM120 build on the mean baby but the torsos grow so big. I will need to try this instead If you can find something that the mean baby can do I would love that because I feel like its the worst Annihilator
normally I have to spin around on my chair to not feel dizzy watching MWO vids. This time my chair was spinning and I fell off when the rotation stopped :(
I've run a similar build in the ANH Mean Baby for a while and it was just too hot. Switching over to 4 MRM 20 is much more heat efficient and gives you a little extra tonnage for some medium lazers to secure kills with.

Has there ever been a mechwarruir game where the missile rack was all the missiles you had? Same as auto cannons. I just think a more realistic version would be way more fun strategically.
I mean, if we're talking realism in a game where you walk around in giant robots that are powered by artificial muscles and partially controlled by a helmet that reads your mind for balance cues...then, no. In fact, there's diagrams that give clues as to how the missile boxes reload after each volley, specifically involving a Timber Wolf.
In the second game, the enemy fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous of which is never get involved in a land war in Ancient Terra! In this instance, it was a NASCAR bait-and-switch that was actually a set up for a firing line!
I've been experimenting with a version of this that has 2 mrm40's and 2 mrm20's. It frees up a little tonnage for more ammo, but the 40's cause more ghost heat problems. So, I fire both 20's together, then the 40's on chain fire.
I got La Malinche from the event. I've tried some builds in the testing grounds but can't make it work. 3 LPL and AC 10 is OK but the hardpoint location is garbage. I was wondering if you had some ideas for this, Bara, else it'll sit next to my Siren and keep each other company for a long, long time.
What combinations of MRM's do you put on your Bushwacker? I've tried the MRM bushwacker since it was my favorite chassis in MW4, but I'm rarely able to do well with it in this game
@@David_Fellner I usually do 2xMRM30s in the BSW-S2 (C) with two MLasers and a Light Engine 245. You can fit both 30s in the torso, or do a MRM 40 in the torso and a 30 in the arm, with a little less ammo. You can also cram 4 SRM6s into it for a nasty punch. In either case, if you lose the torso you're fucked, but with the armor quirks you can strip your right arm and still have 14 armor on it, so a little twisting goes a long way.
Two builds to look at possibly: mech.nav-alpha.com/#36c9c867_BNC-LM 1xAC10, 3xLPL (built around the AC10/LPL quirks) mech.nav-alpha.com/#c8a6271c_BNC-LM 1xAC10, 1xMRM40, 5xML (built around the AC10 quirk)
@@crxtodd16 Yes, I know about ghost heat. I was saying that an MRM40+ an MRM20 with ghost heat is still less heat than 2 MRM30s after the MRM30 Nerf due to the IV4. That is why most people run IV4 with MRM40+MRM20 now.
"Witness the firepower of this fully operational firing line!"
Such a great job of the team setting up a firing line and not continuing to nascar in the second match! Great stuff!
it's so rare.
Seeing the team react to your coordination in both games was great to watch.
I have a 160 MRM Stalker =). It's super fun to plan but I'm not very good at it.
Also, it's hot and doesn't have very much ammo... or armor...
Good job on the counter nascar! All those mechs exploding!
Good ol' MRM regurgitation 💜🤮
In you second match having a really good team is a rare event

40+20 is cooler than 30+30
"...and hitting the ground is not very heat efficient." *Blink blink* Baradul is so polite lol...
120 MRM's is just disgusting. Im lovin it.
I basically did the same build, but shaving off 4 tons by using 2xMRM40 and 4xMRM10 with 3 weapon groups instead of two. Better heat management too.

Good god... Using torso hardpoints only, the arm lock should be enable
Good build but still prefer 120MRM on tankier AHN and Nighststar.
Which Nightstar can carry missiles?

MWO has the Rocket Launcher, which is just a single-shot box of rockets. Good if you want a really big alpha strike but otherwise not great.

An MRM20+40 is less heat than 2xMRM30, even after the ghost heat.
This is the build I did for mine! Sweet!
Hey Baradul, which performs better? This build or the SRM build you did back in April?
Sooo it's a cheaper more effective Mean Baby?
are MRMs still a thing in game?
ofcourse you are blocked, you literally just hug your team all jumbled in 1 grindpoint...I laugh hearing you complain about blocking...its selfdoing
who hurt you
Again baradul nice build
Baradul, fill the rest of the missile slots with rocket launchers...........a 10 and 2 15's.

Could you make a daily dose for the hero Banshee „La Malinche“? It is a mech i got for free but don‘t know what to do with it
It's not very good, but if you got 500 match score 5 times, you're good enough to figure out something :)

Isn't it more heat efficient (as well as weight efficient) to run MRM40+MRM20 on each side since the MRM30 nerf a while back?
MRM40+MRM20 will generate ghost heat. The idea behind using MRM30+MRM30 is that there is no ghost heat.
Even so, it's still a very hot build.
Needless to say, ditch the laser duration modes Baradul had for something else if you can, given absolutely zero lasers used.
Using 2 mrm40 and 2 mrm20 gives you the same tubes but less weight. You can also do this with the aws-8r.
