Did you know that the buildings originally was build as s hospital. Frederiks Hospital. Funny thing is that the buildings is build around the measurement of the hospital beds. The space between the windows is the exact room for one bed, as the doors is exactly wide enough for a bed to get though. And so on.
As always it's exiting to follow your journey. You guys are so open minded and curious about learning new things. That's really the best properties as human beings. You can't go wrong then 🤟😊
I went just a few weeks ago and the exhibitions right now are so good. Loved the future thing. What if could take a pill before bedtime and be in charge of what you want to dream about, so many good questions about our usage of time… and the table-setting evolvement from way back in the renaissance until todays modern plate setting, furniture, cups, benches, jewelers made of different material. Was really fond of it all. Never gone before. Glad you went (impossible to capture it on video), so hope many will go visit :)
You already know the sound wasn't overly impressive so I won't mention it here. Thx for taking us along. I've never been to the design museum and I've lived in Copenhagen for more than 30ys.
Hi :) Did you know that Denmark has had a production of electric cars back in the 80s. "Ellert", mini-electric, Danish three-wheeled electric vehicle, produced at the El-Trans A/S factory in Randers. The project was first presented in 1982 by engineer Steen Volmer Jensen (17.4.1942-31.12.2010) as a "mini-electric" prototype. In 2003 there were approx. 350 "Ellerter" on number plates, but in 2021 only 174. on number plates here in Denmark. :)
Does orange/red chairs behind Maya are actually designed by Danish designer Verner Panton in 1967. They are called the Pantonchairs I believe. I am much more into his lamps so might be wrong about the chair name. So they might look modern, but they are actually old :)
And I may also advise a visit to architect Finn Juhls personal home, from which a very wealthy Japanese man has made an exact copy in Japan, with all its furniture! His design for a meeting room in the UN building has also been restored back to the original version!
And the plate on a Katana sword (Which may be a piece of art, also the special construction during its making by the hyper skilled sword smith!), is named a Tsuba!
The animation contraption is called a Zoetrope. It’s one of the earliest forms of animation. You can also make one at home. There’s also an even simpler version called a Thaumatrope. Here’s how you can make one of those: ua-cam.com/video/46Mlr4hvW-E/v-deo.html

Thanks so much for coming along :). We aim to just go out and experience what we can. Denmark has a lot to offer so it keeps us busy!
Love to see your enthusiasm, guys!!
- and I see no sense in commenting, on the previous comments 🤔 it's been done! 👍
hello from Hundested 🌸🌦
Bredgade (Wide Street) is actually rather narrow, while Smallegade (Narrow Street) is rather wide, just to confuse people!
Bredgade/Smallegade, Iceland/Greenland... Mjød is one hell of a drug

Yes, the cafe had a ton. But there used to be an exhibit of just chairs, it isn’t there anymore.
I've never been to the design museum, but now I want to go there.
Thank you very much for the video, and have a great weekend 🤗👍🏻

Trapholt in Kolding is a museum for modern art and design.
It’s supposed to be worth a visit - or so I’ve heard. Haven’t been there myself, yet.
I’ll have to check it out!
Nice place. Have to visit.
Have you been at the Danish Museum of Science & Technology (Danmarks Tekniske Museum) in Helsingør.

We’ve been, it is awesome!

In english, Bredgade could also be called: "Broadway"

Bet Bredgade translates to Broadway…
False advertisement, more art than design, this has nothing to do with original danish design!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bredgade = Broadway 🤓
Two persons just keep talking for 5 min. without any pictures or videos. Boring !!
