Its been really tough here in Auckland NZ. After many months of complete freedom we are back under a level 4 lockdown. Here it means almost everyone has to be at home. Only supermarkets and Pharmacies are open. Then some major flooding from a storm. and just 2 days ago a terrorist attack a few minutes from my home. But like magic there is a video from Joji. As always, uplifting and healing. Thank you. Never doubt what a difference you make in the world Joji.

Yes! Just because we can...doesn't mean we should do all the things. Because we tend to lose ourself in that and you stop and look back and feel empty. You're realization is so important and I hope more people learn from this lesson .

Being empowered is not about doing more, it’s about it being ok to sometimes look after yourself and that it’s ok to not be okay sometimes 😊 I love your designs and wish I had the time to knit them all❤️
Joji, your words really resonated with me today. All morning I have been fighting the feeling I have to do something, despite being so ill I am struggling with going upstairs. Joji, so glad you stuck with the continental. I think it took me about 6 months to get comfortable but i am so happy i did it. Love the collection.
I'm so glad you pointed out that elastic detail about your lace socks! They are beautiful...but I wouldn't have made them because lace is usually not so elastic. Yay! Putting on my list now. :)

I completely understand all you were saying. This year has been tough. Burn out has become a real thing and many are finding they need more time to themselves. It’s so important to take time for yourself and regroup. The forever cowl is beautiful 😻…

How you are holding your yarn now is exactly what I was telling you 👌🏻 perfect. You can keep the tip of your finger on the left needle stitches and it will help you with not looking until you are more confident 🥰

Seattle is just over 3 hrs from me. I hope you enjoy our beautiful state and stay warm enough on the west side of the mountains lol it always gets a bit chilly this time of year. We always enjoy all the “joji” things and the new collection is fantastic too! 💕
I love what you had to say about the pressure that we as women put upon ourselves to do and succeed at everything. Just because we can do it all doesn't mean that we should do it all. If this pandemic has taught me anything it was to reevaluate what I spend my time and effort doing. Yes, there are obligations to do, but making the time to spend with family and friends and do the things that bring me joy are just as important. Also, your new collection is stunning! I want to make everything in your new ebook. But, oh my goodness, the Newspaper pullover! I couldn’t even dream of anything so beautiful. It’s perfect. I have to force myself to finish 2 projects before I cast on Newspaper. Thank you for all your great designs. I live in my Granito.
When you go to the Olympic Mountains, stop in the yarn shop in Port Angeles, Cabled Fiber & Yarn, if you have time. It is a very nice yarn store with a large variety of yarn considering its relatively small size. I was there a week and a half ago while visiting my sister when we went up to Hurricane Ridge lookout. Port Angeles is the town where the road up to Hurricane Ridge begins. I had a very short time to shop as I had three people in the car waiting for me, but the owner gave me a quick, helpful tour of what they had. I bought two skeins of their house brand yarn. The colors are beautiful.
I can't wait to knit the cowl. The PNW is great for hiking, the most beautiful scenery. I live in Oregon. Safe travels.❤

Love every one in your collection. I probably will do all except the pullover even though I love the design, I don't usually wear them, but never know.
I'm so excited that you are progressing with continental knitting! Not to knock English style, because this is how I was taught, and my mother is a very efficient English-style thrower, but I never could get the motions right or gain speed with it, and I also had very tight tension and my yarn twisted in a frustrating way, so for me, continental has been a lifesaver, solving all of these problems. It was quite a challenge to concentrate on it long enough to create the muscle memory and get up to speed, but I would not go back.
Such a beautifull collection. Went imidiately and bought the Ebook. Like the story behind the designs.

The sweater is beautiful! Love it. All the designs are lovely. Don’t know why you don’t use a swift and ball winder to cake up your yarn. It’s so fast and easy. Once you get used to it, you won’t go back to winding by hand. Have a wonderful trip!
That Newspaper pullover is absolutely gorgeous, I am still racking my brain on what color I want to knit it in and stuck between doing a Black and White version like yours or like two different tonal greens... I also had a great conversation with one of your test knitters and I am really looking forward to seeing how his sweater turns out and fits. Also, I did some measuring and we have the same bust size so I will be knitting the medium as well! Hope you have a safe trip to the united states.

Your designs are beautiful. The me time shawl in brown is lovely but can't stop thinking of a chocolate bar with the squares at the end :) I'd like to switch to continental also, but I was wondering if your tension changed and therefore results in a different gauge compared to English style. Do you change styles within the same project also?

I LOVE this collection! The Me Time Shawl and Newspaper Pullover are what I'm really drawn to, although the mohair cowl is calling my name too! I am so happy for you that you are finding greater speed knitting continental. I have knit this way all my life and still can't completely look away. How are you finding continental purling? Have you needed to purl yet? I think my purling is clunky and awkward and would love to learn a smoother, faster purling method. I hope you have a fabulous time with the rest of your trip! 💗💗💗
