Guide to the strongest build in Hades 2. Best and easiest build at the moment. Pro tip for those who want to push this build even further is to lower your Hp to 30, get the "Strength" combined with the ring "White Antler" for increased damage and crit chance. This is obviously not necessary as the build is plenty strong by itself but it allows you to do crazy high damage. You can also add the arcana Orginiation for bonus damage to targets with curse effects on them (like Hitch, Scorch etc.) which is a great way to get extra damage.

Nice variant of the Poseidon + Zeus build, but i think it is still the number 1 :)
The thing is that the splashes of Poseidons are stronger on Specials than on Attacks so the damage output is nuts + its 2 instances of damages so its better against armor etc. But i'll not talk about it more since everyone in the comments is already doing it :)
But the fact is that this build doesn't care about Magick and Zeus is the king of magick-less runs. You can get 2 boons that decuplates your damage output : "sparks on all attacks but you Prime 50 magick" is insane and the "strike all foes with lightning every X seconds if you have less than 10% magick" is a free AoE damage. With those you wreck the game even faster and the AoE is even greater than Hera's links. Its also really easy to do because you can activate the Fear that makes you start each encounter with 0% of your magick.
For the last God i don't know which one is the best but you have to enable the Arcana Origination that makes you deal 50% damage to foes with 2 curses, its mandatory. So you want Slip on Poseidon which is 1 curse and since Zeus's blitz is only available on attacks that we don't use, we need the 3rd god to give an easy curse. Aphro or Demeter's casts are the best for that, but Aphro can also give you more Air infusion boons and the boon that makes your Attacks and Specials stronger if you Prime Magick, so imho its the best. I talk about Air Infusions cuz you can get the Zeus one that makes all your damages deal at least 30, which makes the lightning even better. Add the Artemis boon that shoots an arrow everytime you hit an enemy, each one will deal 30 which is the double of the base damage !
And well, since this aspect already tear through the game with only Poseidons special and a good hammer.. you can guess how insane it is with the build im talking about :)

Cool video, it definitely makes me want to try the build. I wanted to ask though, are speedrunners really running Sworn Flourish? All the speedruns that have floated into my recommendations rely on Wave Flourish instead, taking advantage of how it adds flat damage to a quick, spammable attack. I could see how Sworn Flourish would be better for room clears as you can spread Hitch around, but for Guardians it seems like the effect of Hitch would lose out to Poseidon being able to apply Slip along with the flat damage bonus. But it's possible the speedruns that rely on Sworn Flourish just aren't making it to my feed?

Yes, Wave Flourish is much better
The actual WR (atleast a few days ago) used sworn flourish but poseidon is probably better.
I think the main benefit of going for Hera at start is that her cast makes erebus faster since most enemies will just die on spawn in
@@Foolish_S0 Makes sense. I just started trying out the deadline Vow (having already done 32 Fear), and I found that Erebus is the region where the deadline feels the tightest. Makes sense to me that speedrunners might take something to accelerate chamber-clearing.

I would recommend Poseidon's Flourish instead of Hera. It adds a flat amount of damage to each projectile which is insane in itself, but it also causes double hits which wrecks armors and shields (if you're using the vow of rebuke), and it also does splash damage, which will wreck grouping of enemies (great with Aphrodite's cast) pushes enemies back which makes it easier to keep them at bay and group them together.
For single target zeus > hera. Blitz damage scaling with pom/rarity is much better. Zeus cast is basically aimbot for your cast
Zeus boons are almost all mid
The problem is that Zeuses Blitz won't increase in damage with buffs to special damage, like the huntress or chaos.
most runs show poseidon, is hitch really better than splash + slip?
No
It's just more reliable bc 1 boon vs 2, plus Hera has other good boons
@@Marcus-oj9xw If you're adding Fear, Poseidon starts to make more sense. You need those knockbacks, extra damage, potential Duos, etc.
