Love your post. The Techclip is great. Got a 16" bag and large bag on wheels. Several pouches. I'm a 80 year old DIY and Love helping people especially Seniors. Have a good week. 😀
I'm renovating a narrowboat on the inland waterways of England. My boat is 60ft long but only 7ft wide. It can fast become a nightmare trying to keep track of tools. Moving them from one end of the boat to the other. Putting them away, so they don't get lost and so on. This system looks ideal for my needs. Once the renovation is complete there will always be general boat maintenance, so being able to have a few dedicated bags clipped to the wall of my engine room will be ideal.
Great job on a informational video. I've got quite a few myself. The clips can be attached to almost anything including a gang box, job trailer, work van's inside wall. I've got mine attached to my step ladders, inside of my utility body. I also attached plastic coated magnets to the back of a few clips so I can stick pouches to the back of my utility body truck as I'm working off the tailgate area. This keep the tailgate free for work and keeps tools from rolling off. I also incorporated the clips to my Veto OT-MC tool bag. Very versatile and inexpensive tool organization. I love the stuff. Make my job so much more productive and enjoyable.
thats awesome to hear, You gave me an idea, I think i will mount a clip on to the side of my tstak cart so i can carry a pouch or two. Thanks for watching!
Totally sold on the toughbuilt system, they're affordable, versitile, comfortable and very handy, great design and durable construction. I even use the massive mouth rolling toolbag as my main kit. Can't go wrong with this system. Highly recommended
Just got my belt in today. I got the compact drill holster and a few of the universal pouches on the way. This setup is t*ts. Really good quality and really comfortable. If you're on the fence just buy it. Honestly should be double or triple the price. I attached spare clips to the front of my packout crate. I can quickly change out what I'm gonna use right in front of my tool box without having to hold 20-30 pounds of tools I'm not using. Just make 3 or 4 pre made pouches and clip them on and off.
Really helpful video. I'm starting to build a tool belt system and had seen the Toughbuilt system but kind of overlooked it in favour other brands I know. Will go and have another look as a result of your video. Thanks!
Today I just picked up at Lowe's the 4 roller set with their tote. Hopefully plan to get most of their gear. Love the whole system! Thanks for this video!
I have been invested in this toughbuilt system over the last couple weeks, mainly because of the cliptech function it is just so practical for my needs as a 15 year old stonemason apprentice, i dont need big bags on my hip as i dont have a need to carry drills or anything of that sort so I bought the toughbuilt tape and utility knife holder and i also have a hammer loop made by toughbuilt and i love them boyh
This was a really informative video. I was on the fence on weather or not I wanted to make my first purchase with this system. I'm going to give it a try.
You need a few more pouches…lol! I just bought the XL rolling bag. Toughbuilt makes their tools and equipment look so attractive. I highly recommend their screwdriver set. The magnetism on them is so strong
I bought the roller bag and electrical pouch, I do IT and Data wiring, really neat system. Considering getting a rail for these and installing them on the van
Great for a service electrician, when I’m doing a meter-main replacement I wear the master electrician pouch, but if I’m going in to do a circuit troubleshoot it’s the small electrician pouch, no need for a hundred tools for that.
Bought these after your review. .Real nice to take weight off at every chance. The clips to hold the bags in as stuff falls out as usual if thrown in the truck. Be good if the flap out would lock in place as easily folds back. Also the contractor and project bags are the best, trying to get small things out of some of the smaller pouches is impossible without tipping them out.
im starting to get into the toughbuilt line here in central texas. our local Lowes doesnt have a all of the pouches yet. i have seen the section grow in the last few weeks i have made a couple videos on them as well. i really like their durability and the prices are reasonable
Another great product showcase! I do like the tough built stuff and have some and used some of it in the past and I did really like the switchable pouch system. But I evolved to a husky pouch that has many dividers as I build outdoor playsets/gazebos/pergolas by Backyard Discovery and have so many different types of hardware I carry in my pouch at one time. If I was changing pouches often I would definately use the toughbuilt stuff. Little thing I figured out a while ago that might work for you too if you need to carry lots of different hardware. I take used disposable water bottles and cut the tops off and put them in my pouch and put my hardware in the bottles. This allows me to organize up up to 10 different types of hardware in my pouch and I can switch the bottles in and out without having to dump my pouch. Then I have a tote like the toughbuilt one you have in the vid where I store the bottles full of hardware that I can switch out during a job. Again it works for me because I often have 10 to 30 different types of hardware involved in a playset/gazebo/pergola build and often carry 10 plus different types of hardware in my pouch at one time to increase productivity.
hi, thank you for the video :) -- btw what is the plastic Base/receiver holder called ( NOT THE HUB PART the other part with the push button) ? Can we get this separately ?
Thanks man. I just got out of the Army and started a home inspection company. This belt is better than my current one and cheap $40 on Amazon. I left a like on the video. Edit: still using it for home inspections its good but the pouch are tight still its a good buy.
@@brian644 yeah this one isn't the best but it works. The carry system is to still but I bought it so I'll use it for now. I've got a few tool belts (all cheap garage) but hey it works.
I like the stand makes it versatile, I don't necessarily need a belt system but just because the pouches have a stand I'm considering getting one for stationary work but still have the option to clip it onto a tool bag or belt if I need
I really like the idea of these pouches! I got a few for review and man I really can't figure out their electricians pouch. It doesn't seem to fit or be designed for any basic electricians tools.
Been an electrician for about 6 years now, but have always had a hard time buying a tool belt. Most of them just looked too clunky to be wearing all the time, even the Milwaukee one. You don't always need all the pouches... Anyways, saw some of these TB belts while shopping today. The modulation capabilities look amazing. Not to mention the belt build quality seems very high. Just ordered up the contractors combo kit, with a drill holster, master electrician pouch, and rail with 3 extra clips. Look forward to swapping out my old Klein tote and pouch combo. ✌️
As a Chippy of 35 years I looked at/investigated/scrutinized these very much so, as I needed to replace my old Custom Leather Craft 1614 Bulistic nylon suspender apron/tool belt as it's on it's last legs..... I liked the idea of being able to swap out pouches quickly, thought that was a genius idea but I also thought about how much tools I need to carry on my person at any one time - as I think we ( as carpenters ) can carry too much shiv at times.... Now, I've been a chippy for 35 years & reckon I probably know what I'm gonna need for my days work so why carry excess shiv to put more strain on my body with extraneous weight that's not needed or used (as in extra tools...) Therefore I've rationalised what I absolutely carry every day in my apron/belt.... and my back absolutely thanks me for it.... Two items I didn't think, from all my years of experience in wearing an apron/belt, will be good were: 1/ Yes, you mentioned it too! Was that little Zipper to attach the "buckle part" to the main belt - now just so people are aware of what I'm talking about.... - when you buy the belt you buy either one of two "belt extension", so to speak pieces of which acomodate the range of waist sizes amongst us as human beings.... I felt that the Zipper, alone, as the only connection between the two pieces of belt was a stupid idea and a weak point that would probably succumb to failure due to the weight involved that it needs to handle for many moons of use..... I think that it's an extremely poor design point to be completely honest.... When it fails it takes out the whole apron/tool belt out of use.... & could prove exceptionally difficult to facilitate a repair to it if one could actually get a replacement sewn in..... Velcro on BOTH sides would've been much better, at the full width of the belt.... 2/ I felt the clip part at the top of the pouches/bags stuck up too far above the belt line & that I would probably land up rubbing/hitting them constantly with the palms of my hands & it would annoy the shiv outta me with in short period of time...... Also, by the time you buy ALL the necessary pouches & desired bits it priced itself in to a league of "professional well established belt manufacturers"..... - at least in my country of residence anyhow.... I landed up buying a Milwaukee Shoulder suspension rig ( at a good price as I knew somebody who could get it for me at a decent price...) - virtually a copy of my old C.L.C. belt, of which I really liked.... And today I've found the same model C.L.C for sale again ( as I couldn't find it when I bought my Milwaukee....) I do think it's worth spending good money on tool belts if it's for your everyday job, most importantly they have to comfortable & functional..... Cause when it isn't at 4-5 weeks in of use/ownership "it's a bitch" if it's uncomfortable..... & by then the store won't take it back!!!!
