This was actually so insanely ahead of it's time. Like,,, this pretty much sounds how neuro does today. I go back and listen to most other tracks from 2011 and they have that dated brostep sound. This was just miles ahead.

This song is brilliant. At the beginning it's supposed to regular funk from a few decades ago, and then the drop is the modern funky neurohop/ glitch hop. That's why it's called "Meanwhile, In the Future."

gitgud theyve done studio interviews before its just sound design, learn a god damn fm synth inside and out.
@@cappucino108 In their interviews they state they often use Malstrom which is like a cross between a wavetable and granular synth. Recently they have said they also use Serum, so much of their wound design is wavetable synthesis. Much of what they do is in the resampling stages and later when they put the sound into a sampler and use the sampler and effects chains to work out ideas. They said in their ama that they work out around an hours worth of different material for each song and then arrange a track from the best bits.
