- Unless you have been living under a rock you've heard of the Lambertone Cremas and have probably heard about the new Ristrettos, the P90s from Lambertones Pickups! We got our hands on some of the new Lambertone Ristrettos and the best way to describe them it's 1/4 strat, 3/4 P-90. It's got that signature Lambertone clarity and presence like the creams, but these things can also rock and just sound super big and phat! You can almost hear that big single coil breathing!!
We are big P-90 fans and these are not going anywhere. You'll be seeing these pickups in lots of Tone Junkie stuff from now on!

Came here for the Lambertone, but left with the Suhr.
Mmmmm... those S-90s are pure heaven in a pickup! 💕
Those Ristrettos DO sound good. But there is just something about those S90s that give me goosebumps (in a good way).
The S-90... wow! The Risrettos feel slightly less compressed and yield more clarity, but the S-90s are something else, at least in this context. Great video!
Great video guys! Its great to hear them in context with some other seriously great pups. Love what y'all do!
The neck on the strat is one of the best spanky tones ever though, ooof!
Suhr....hands down.
I think I just enjoy it whenever the Sooze picks up a guitar and i get to hear him play it.
This is honestly the best approach I have ever seen for demonstrating a pickup. Hearing how a pickup sounds in the same context relative to others really helps you understand the essence of it. Thanks a lot for this guys
Mine are on the way....and I don't have a guitar for them yet....
One day though they will find a Jazzmaster to live in!!
Um... One that doesn't have original style pickups I hope...because that's the REAL benchmark for these.. They made a mistake comparing a strat and not a Jazzmaster
@@the_nondrive_side If you didn't know a Jazzmaster pickup is very much a cousin to the Strap pickup. Just a different housing and much wider and flatter but not many more winds.
However, these things are more akin to a P90, but I have no idea what is really going on under the hood being Kurtis makes these with magic.
That is why they used their P90 loaded Jazz Suhr. I don't think they have a real Jazzmaster to compare it to, hence the good choice of choosing the Strat.
@@joshuabenton3785 bro. Now.. I've been aware for some time. Much prefer the lower height form and the tones from the JM style. At least your not giving mis-info..
The lambertones do fall right smack dab in the middle between the strat singlecoils and the suhr pickups but they remind me a bit of a strat with true single coils and 500k pots.
Love the clarity of the Lambertones but Im really digging the air in the Suhr pickups
The Suhr is my favorite, it would be cool if you did a shootout with some other FR's and a Powertrain.
can you do a review of Lambertones TripleShot?
How close to the jazzmaster Cremas' sound to these?
Ristrettos are nice for that sparkly jangle, but as for me, I prefer the sounds outta the Suhr pups.
Lambertones for me!
the strats are heavenly! . . very much like the fender custom 69! . . warm but still twangy! . . pretty much tied!
s90s rock. Can’t wait for my Suhr JM Pro to arrive 😏
S-90 for me
I just bought a set of s90s based on this video. Are you able to tel me what size pots and cap they use in that JM?
Please
what is that copper looking Jazzmaster? haven't seen one like it before.
It's a Grosh
interesting comparison. If i built a P90 based guitar i'd prob go Ristretto in bridge, Suhr for neck.
Thanks fer th helpful comparison, shoppin P90's at present.
Happy Holidays to all yall there! :-)
Very nice !!!
what profile(s) were you using here?

what is the copper guitar?
It's a Grosh
Strat sounds like crap to me always. Jazzmaster comparison would have been better imo.. The ristretto sound great.. I've been looking at a recent purchased RWRP jazzmaster and P90 pickup set I had made with an overly hot p90 with 3 different taps 1k apart. Kinda wish I saw this video before... But.. The Jazzmaster still takes the win for the Junior installation as I barely have to remove any wood... And I think they sound better anyhow.
