- Sharada is a three time national award winning South Indian actress and Indian Parliament member. She originally hails from Andhra Pradesh. She has achieved success through Malayalam movies. Initially she did many supporting roles in Telugu films and later on moved to Malayalam film industry and gained success there. She is also known as Urvashi Sharada because earlier the National Film Award for Best Actress was officially designated the Urvashi Award.

I fail to understand, I apologize. Every time in Malayalam channels I feel people take jingoism in calling themselves as Malayales in Kerala while the same when they move out to Bombay, Chennai or Bengaluru they drop their 'Kerala' identity and call themselves to Marathi or Tamil or Kannadigas! I feel this to be very strange! And I'd been to all the south Indian states and in fact few North too none of those channels except for Kerala channels call their actors as India's famous or very prominent actor while unfortunately instead of considering these gems from Kerala as India's actors Mallus make them feel smaller by confining them to Kerala alone!
That is the speciality of we keralites.. 😄😄

Too bad she wasn't awarded even a padmasree even after winning 3 national awards.. It was bestowed to kajol Rekha Jayaram and several others.. Who doesn't have half of her credentials
