I'm a native, lived my entire life so far here. As beautiful as this state is, the cost of living does not warrant it unless you are really good off or are okay with multiple roommates. I have a studio and pay $1,400/month. Houston you're in my sights. Edit: I have lived all aspects of this state. From a moutain house in the springs(i was 5yrs at that time), all the way to sleeping on the streets of Federal. If you have the assurance, Colorado is great. If you don't, best of luck
Why Houston of all places? I moved to Denver from Houston and it's my hometown. It sucks. And it's not cheap to live there. Cheaper than the Denver area? Definitely. Cheap in general? Inflation and the population surge have made Houston expensive. You'll pay the same amount of your studio if you want to live inside loop 610. You'll probably end up living in the burbs and commuting into town for work. And if you think Denver's traffic is bad, get ready for next level traffic in Houston
@Osiris3657 Houston isn't necessarily cheap, but from my line of work, there are way more opportunities. I also have family there, from my math, I could get paid Houstons wage for what I do in denver, and be able to afford a 3 bd home if I wanted. I don't drive so that's never been an issue. Population surge is definitely a factor, but it is nowhere near as bad as Colorado. Luckily I landed a decent paying job that just might make my living in CO pretty well, and I'd like to stay. Again, it is a beautiful state. All in time I guess Edit: My family in TX left CO to move and they have never looked back. So I guess opposite of you haha. Best of luck though!

I'm in Centennial. I like it, but would be prefer to be on the west side so we have quick mtn access
