I use my iPad to run my business! I have lumafusion to edit videos. I use affinity designer and affinity photo for art and design work for my leather work. It all depends on making a workflow
i m just getting into design , raster / vector art , and i m only using apple pencil and my ipad pro 10.5
i just like this so much that i m not even thinking about getting a mac or pc for later use cases

As a college student a laptop is still a must for writing papers and getting software to work that wouldn’t normally work on a mobile device (Matlab, IDEs, etc.)
I love my iPad Pro and use it it every day but I still need my computer for “computer stuff”

I’ve been using my iPad 7th Gen for all my school work (hs) during the lockdown. It’s been great. The only unpractical thing is editing documents in Word, but other than that, it has been a beast for a $250 device

i’m a college student attending school for graphic design right now, and i’ve only used my ipad pro for classes, and apart from main adobe apps like photoshop or after effects i have everything i need haha

I use ALL Samsung stuff. ALL. (The but is coming) Except an iPad Air 2. And that purchase just left me an absolute iPad fanboi. There are SO many little things that is just so much faster doing it on the iPad. Computers gotta boot up or turn on to do something worth a couple minutes while computers take up equal time in setting up. (Not everyone has blazing fast computers.. ) But iPads tend to be competently fast for all the stuff that one has to do in it.
Also, I don't get how you find the battery life bad. I really think it's great. Maybe the new ones are not as well.

Great video! I have an iPad Pro (same as yours, but the smaller one) with a Pencil that I use for creative work (although I also have a mouse and keyboard case in order to use it as a computer for school, haha.)

100% agree. I really hope the iPad stays an iPad and doesn't go any more towards being a MacBook. I couldn't live without a laptop, but I also couldn't live without iPad and Apple pencil. (I'm a Graphic Designer)

Science College students need windows/linux/macos for some analytic programs. I sold my MacBook Pro in first semester to buy the first iPad Pro directly after release, befause I thaught it was the best thing ever. In fact it is the best thing ever. I still have it today and I still use it a lot. But without my father giving me and older MacBook Pro so that I have something to run computer software on I would have needed to buy one cheap windows laptop for data analysis programs (exel has its limits) and chemical structure visualizing/drawing programs.

Same here, I got into design because of my iPad.
The iPad Pro has a battery life ... but i had the same problem. My Solution was to only put the pencil on the iPad as it really needs to be charged. Otherwise it sucks my battery magically away ✌️

The reason your battery life isn’t that good is because you use graphic intensive apps for photo editing and the like. Also, if you want to increase the battery life you could also turn off the 120 Hz display in settings and make it 60
