Fun Fact: The bombs weren't the actual reason for Japan to surrender. It was the fear of total annihilation of the Japanese/History/Their People becoming extinct. Due to the soviet union "invading" from another part of Japan.
@@somua8185 Actually, not all that true. The largest role the Soviets played in the Japanese surrender was the fact that they could no longer be used as a neutral party to negotiate a conditional surrender with the US. Even after the Soviet Invasion of Manchuria Japanese leadership was split. It wasn't until after Nagasaki did the Emperor break the tie in favor of surrender.
I think its hard to pin it on a single reason, the reason of their surrender would probably be because of already mounting fears of Soviet/American invasion and the Bombs were just a tipping point. IDK im not a historian just a random internet stranger.
@@kousand9917 The Japanese didn't fear invasion in the conventional sense. The US would invade, and they would be successful it would just be a question of the cost. The Soviets were the last chance for a negotiation of a conditional surrender, and with them now allied with the US against Japan, there was no hope of that. It wasn't until after Nagasaki however, that the Emperor broke the tie and decided to surrender.

Not really. More of a Wittman reference since in fury, the tank shot was the last one even though historically they would aim at the front tank.
