Our new UK tropical plant nursery UPDATE

- The new Grow Paradise nursery space is continuing to evolve and we want to share the journey with you. After receiving one tonne of gravel we have finally managed to create the raised floor for our new outdoor plant nursery space. The Grow Paradise nursery is grown on heavy clay soil, raising the floor height will ensure we can still access the plants after heavy rainfall. Our new plant bench has now arrived, taking our total to 3 and almost tripling the number of tropical and exotic plants we can grow on this site.
Unfortunately the garden experienced the coldest conditions recorded in this space for many years. With these heavy frosts came some losses in the Grow Paradise display garden. Our beloved seed grown Musschia wolastonii seems to have succumbed to the cold. We'll keep it covered for a few more weeks and see if it can muster up the energy to recover.
With the seasons inevitably rolling by, many of our homegrown plants are close to ready for sale and we share some of this with you in the video.

I'm excited for the changes you've made and those to come, and for the opportunity to continue watching the marvelous activities you've achieved. Though I'm in a very different climate, I find myself revisiting your videos when the time is right for my zone. I loved hearing about what you call "ladybirds", known as ladybugs in the U.S.; great for aphids.

Hi Craig - I wondered if your loquat is growing in your border? It looks a very narrow border yet very green and full. Could you say how wide the border is and what you are managing to grow in such a small space? Just signed up for a euphorbia- so pleased you will be selling some soon.
Loving the Nursery Update Craig 👍🏼 Everytime i see your Fatsia Polycarpa it makes me want one so bad 😅😅. Is it possible to keep it trimmed to a certain size if needs be or not?
Thanks 😀 Yes Fatsia polycarpa can take a hard trim to keep the a suitable size. I’ve just got some nice tall ones in stock too 😀📦🪴

Hello Craig, how do you keep your echiums alive over winter? I keep losing mine in Kent.
Hi! If they are in the ground I would recommend fleecing them to keep the worst of the frosts away. Don't be too hasty to write them off, Echiums have been known to recover in spring. Check out our support forum for more support with questions just like this: www.growparadise.social
