Thankful you can keep a positive attitude and not be as upset as I am over my mistake! I may never live this one down! I have to make up for it by finding an above average weekend load! All day tomorrow 👀👀👀👀👀 eyeballs on the load board 😫😀 Thanks for being a good sport and having my back on my screw up!!!
Glad to see you here, I'm not even in the trucking industry, but I lov watching Dan's videos. He's told us plenty about al the good work you do in the past, so I'm sure any screwup was a very super-rare thing. Next week? Tons and tons of good loads, and no snow. ;-)
Nice work in getting the original load tarped with the uneven and overhanging load that you had. You’re a very compassionate and understanding person in dealing with Katie in the manner that you do. I’m sure Katie finds herself fortunate to have you being so understanding and there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that you are most pleased, and fortunate, with the fine work that Katie does for you, day in and day out. As you stated, we’re all human and we all make mistakes. Every indication that I have ever seen from you is that Katie has always done well by you and you provide the appropriate appreciation for her work in your videos. Thanks again for taking us all along with you on your travelling experiences. Safe travels to you sir!
Smallest roundabout I've driven in was so tiny that a truck can't turn in it, you have to plan ahead and approach it so that you can just drive straight through. I tried to drive a full circle in it with an old GMC van, had to crawl real slow and watch carefully that passenger side front tire not dropping off the pavement. It was and still is the most useless roundabout I've ever seen.
One good thing about traffic circles being too small is it prevent cars from trying to pass in the circle, and the curbs are okay to drive over without damage to our tires
They claim the round a bouts cut accidents by 67% for safety reasons......I live a mile from one in Florida and it took a long time for locals to learn to use .....
You are right in my backyard. I live just east of south bend. I also believe you delivered steel to me at Syndicate systems in middlebury Indiana back in the early 2000's.
16:20 -- the comment about the beltway. I-695 around Baltimore is also called the beltway. In the Midwest (especially Texas) they call their beltways "loop". Enjoying your videos so far... trying to catch up to current day (Dec. 31, 2019) about 50 minutes before New Year's Day on 1/1/20. I also seem to remember that around Houston TX one of their roads is called the Beltway as well. Take care. Pastor Dean, Christian Life Church, Kissimmee FL
I’m born and raised NJ and we have traffic circles in lots of places so I’m used to them but it is funny seeing out or the area folks trying to navigate them.
I deliver locally just about 10 miles south of that Loves along the US31 corridor. That’s the roundabout capital of the US (Hamilton County) I feel like I spend more time navigating roundabouts, then time spent on straight roads. Roundabouts are a great time saver, but the four wheelers don’t respect an 80K pound semi and the destruction it can do to a car.
Used to haul Phoenix tube from Arizona to Phoenix Tube Kokomo for a monday am delivery. If I got there early enough Sunday night I could dolly down on Phx tube property and bobtail out to the dirt track for USAC Sprint cars that ran every Sunday night. Only got to do it once out of all the many loads I hauled out there.
Safe travels Dan! We passed up in Indy yesterday, my ole '84 Pete. Didn't realize it was you till it was too late or I'd have hollared on the radio. Finish 2019 strong!
No use worrying about things outside your control...Been watching awhile, you and Katie are an awesome team....Great work be safe and enjoy a good cup a joe...
Just saw this per the title and the first few minutes. Have to say your forgiven because you admitted to the mistake even if it is not a 100% your fault ownership and not blaming someone else is a erase of the mistake.
Dan you should tell Katie that the truck drivers are always right & never mess up!! It has to be her fault!!! Lol!! Just saying Katie is truck drivers are always on key!! Lol!
Amen to the round-abouts I hate those things with a passion. I am way more uneasy when pulling my 40 foot 5th wheel going through them in heavy tragic. I would so much more rather deal with a 4 way stop or traffic light.
@@j.b.9895 I spent a few minutes researching your comment, and admit I had no idea the benefits. Probably why we are seeing them pop up all over. I guess I assumed they were the latest fad. The truth is I don't embrace change. Back in the day I hated seat belts (showing my age) when they first were added to vehicles and resisted using them for years. It finally took a stiff ticket to get me on board. Now a seat belt is just part of getting in a vehicle. The roundabout are much easier to deal with when your driving a lone vehicle. Hauling a 40 foot 5th wheel its a bit more on guard. You need to swing wide in turns and wind up straddling lanes to some degree with people trying to slip in the sides on you. I guess its like everything else in life except, adjust and adopt.
Well I enjoy watching so I have gone back and watched some of your old stuff that is new to me. I'm a driver out of fort worth tx local driver now due to my wife health I haul rock, but we're still trucking and still making a living. But you were talking about the Beltway they have a Beltway in Houston , Tx to take you around Houston also . Anyway I enjoy watching keep up the good work, and be careful.
Always nice to see you Dan.... Katie is only human and I"m happy Dan that you look at it like that. Anyone that has not made a mistake is six foot under. I think over-all Katie is the best agent you could ask for, you've gotten a lot of good loads in the areas you like to drive and that's commendable. Working well with your colleagues is what it's all about, it's give and take scenario. I think you are both commendable in what you do. Thumbs up on the video and the cat gives it a paw up LOL....
Several mentions of New Jersey and traffic circles. New Jersey, indeed was one of the most prolific states to design them into their highway systems for many years. It took a long time to get rid of most of them. (They all them Rotaries in Massachusetts I believe). New Jersey was notorious for another "great idea" which turned out not so great .."Jug Handle Turns", a clumsy way of making left turns by gong past the intended turn and looping around 270 degrees to cross the road you were originally on. When the traffic backs up? OMG does it back up at Jug Handle Turns. Sorry, Jersey (my native state), that's two really bad ideas in a row, I'm glad I escaped from New Jersey many years ago ;-)
Blame that nice lady...shame on you Dan. Lol Stuff happens. Like you said...take the good with the bad. Florida can be a challenge to get a decent load out of. Back in the money lane now.
What happens if you break down while loaded and you miss your delivery time? Do you still get paid or partial payment?? Great videos, love seeing all the loading and unloading, tarping etc. You have a great demeanor and attention to detail! Thanks for all you do. Jim.
The first time I went through that same roundabout (before they placed the big road sign), instead of getting the 31N ramp, I turned into the FCA entrance....good thing it was at 03:00....lol. That intersection IS an afterthought. Decent Love's over there though! 👍
Hé Dan , i like your video's. Isn't there anything to put on the corners of your freight to protect your tarp? I also like the stars and stripes everywhere! Greetings from the Netherlands!
We all make mistakes. Some say when you do great things such as seen here at 3:20, you tell us secrets of loading flatbed trucks. I am also into elevators and both elevator frames and escalators ride on flatbed trucks.
i hate those turn abouts in NJ, just to turn left or right. if you're not in the right lane to access a left or right turn across traffic, you're f***ed. they had me do a test run in NJ, after my 2 accidents in Queens. never did NYC after that.
Why don't you try laying down your blankets before you strap and throw the straps over them? I kind of started doing that after my blankets would slip off because of the wind and the flapping
Ha how did ya like the roundabout in Leesville before ya headed into Ft Polk? It’s only a few years old but has made traffic merging onto 171 much easier,
Do you have places along the routes where you can get the tarps repaired? Pretty much every town in Uk has at least 5 roundabouts and yes we get the cars up the inside (who obviously think your wrong to need so much room. Doh).
Thankful you can keep a positive attitude and not be as upset as I am over my mistake! I may never live this one down! I have to make up for it by finding an above average weekend load! Hi Katie, bugger me are you human things happen, as long as you or Dan, Dan will fix it that's why his name is SUPER TRUCKER 👌👏👍
Katie, Katie,Katie :). you should get a hold of Dan's camera and put out a response :D
Show me someone who never makes a mistake and I'll show you someone who never does anything.
You, Sir, are the most hygienic Truck Driver ever. And you edit great video's too. Thanks for the entertainment, Dan.
👍
THE best music in all of trucking videos, at UA-cam: 8 minute mark... delightful and evocative. Thanks Dan.
👍
Thanks for watching
Hey Dan, have been really enjoying your videos. Like how you show the loading, tarping and unloading. Stay safe!
Really like to watch you loading and unloading. Not a lot trucker so this is very interesting to me. Thanks for the education.
Keep a few small squares of carpet for sharp edges under your tarps.

It's great that you have a good rapport with Kate. Ya never want to tick off your dispatcher. She keeps you on the road makin' money.
Don’t forget 695 around Baltimore, we call that a beltway too. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching
God bless both you and Katie. Y’all make a great team. 👍
Nice cool guy 😎👍🏻 No trains 🙁 Keep warm and safe buddy 😎🇬🇧
Lol yep we all mess up thanks for sharing Dan be safe
I like watching you tarp. I spent 33 years driving a drop deck and learned watching guys like you tarp...taught me a lot over the years... Nice job.
Katie,no worries, she just booked it before she had her 1st cup of coffee. Safe travels Dan.
Thanks for watching
Love the videos Dan! Keep em coming!
Thanks for watching
Keep the rubber on the road.
Safe travels and God bless.

A friend of mine actually failed her driver's test because some dumbnut was driving in the circle the wrong way and the inspector caught that first!
You earn your money for sure. Mistakes are going to happen. Attitude is everything..
Safe travels Dan

You mentioned once or twice that shipper pay if they demand tarping. Give us a ballpark figure of what these costs, if you could please.

Great videos Dan!
Been watching for years, great videos still.
I just loaded sheets out of that exact same spot Monday before lunch going to Amarillo. Going with some other pieces going to Arizona.
Trucker Path? Be safe out there. I hate roundabouts.🤬
Thanks for watching
Another good video Dan, always refreshing to see a professional on the job. Stay safe mate.
I’m 73 and remember when they built “the beltway” around the nations capitol. I grew up in Northern Virginia in Springfield.
Go Katie. All good.
Drove in England and Scotland a total of 1300 miles ( in a car ) and I fell in love with the roundabouts.
Hey what's up Dan. I'm from Louisiana. Born And Raise. I know where that truck stop you was at. Great videos keep up the good work
Thanks Dan
Greetings Dan and have a great day safe travels out on the road from Westminster MD
South Bend is my hometown now I live in Elkhart In. No trains? Remember safety is number one on the road.
That's Great
Thanks for watching
Dan could have said North of Notre Dame!
Cool stuff Dan 👍
So what you’re saying is ‘thanks Katie, my laundry is done and my truck is all clean’?
I use to take loads to the DHL in Niles , Mich. 👍✌️😎

Excellent, you've got the recipe down right. Keep them coming just like this one. 👍
As a retired driver I would like to see more road footage
I used to pick up just across the road from the truck stop

Hello from Lake Charles, LA.

Great I'm sorry from Katie, 21 degrees here, pull toy here 5
Be glad you're not an owner-operator for Celadon !!!
Love's in Tipton been open a little over a year, I live 7 miles west of Kokomo
Thanks for watching
I have hauled those racks and we did not have to tarp them, oh well have a safe trip Dan.
Yes roundabouts are common in Europe and in Australia too
Yep. I Australia, we have roundabouts *and* B-doubles; and even A-doubles. I followed one through today on Boundary Rd Derrimut.
Every time I go into a roundabout, I say to myself, “going in at 6 go out at 12”
Blame that nice lady...shame on you Dan. Lol Stuff happens. Like you said...take the good with the bad. Florida can be a challenge to get a decent load out of. Back in the money lane now.

Damnit Katie.. you had one job.. lol
I know right LOL
Katie is still the best
Thanks for watching
Same category as railroad rail. Nasty stuff.
That load of pallet racking better have paid you a shitload with having to tarp that!!
nice turn. Doubt can make it with 379 extended hood lol
What happens if you break down while loaded and you miss your delivery time? Do you still get paid or partial payment??
Great videos, love seeing all the loading and unloading, tarping etc. You have a great demeanor and attention to detail! Thanks for all you do. Jim.
Way to go Katie!!!!!!!!!!!! just kidding everybody has done it
Come back to Boston, we have plenty of rotary's.They also use the narrowest main roads as truck routes instead of the 4 lane roads.
hauled plenty of pallet racking but never had to tarp the silly things, that's a new one
Top 10 minutes from Niles Michigan darn I wish I could have met you
The first time I went through that same roundabout (before they placed the big road sign), instead of getting the 31N ramp, I turned into the FCA entrance....good thing it was at 03:00....lol.
That intersection IS an afterthought.
Decent Love's over there though! 👍
In Baltimore it’s the beltway. It’s a Maryland thing
Anybody who doesn’t make mistakes isn’t doing anything!
Love you baby
Hé Dan , i like your video's.
Isn't there anything to put on the corners of your freight to protect your tarp?
I also like the stars and stripes
everywhere!
Greetings from the Netherlands!
That which is necessary is legal.
Noooo... you messed up. Katie could never mess up. You messed up by not foreseeing the problem hahahhaha sorry just had to! lol
Orange shelving. HD
We all make mistakes. Some say when you do great things such as seen here at 3:20, you tell us secrets of loading flatbed trucks. I am also into elevators and both elevator frames and escalators ride on flatbed trucks.
AHH Round-a-bouts in the Uk small roads small round-a-bouts recipe for accidents with big trucks. But you do get used to them.......
That a really good looking truck
Bloody hell those roads are in poor condition. Are they using concrete for those roads? Btw roundabouts are very common here in NZ too.
New Jersey was known as the state with the most circles..
Wisconsin is trying hard to surpass everyone in the number of traffic circles.
And Jughandles.
Everyone makes a mistake now and then...lol ❤️
Grew up there!
i hate those turn abouts in NJ, just to turn left or right. if you're not in the right lane to access a left or right turn across traffic, you're f***ed. they had me do a test run in NJ, after my 2 accidents in Queens. never did NYC after that.
Pallet Rack City, have fun backing out?
Love the video
👍😉.
And I Give Your Video A Thumps Up AreReady And I Watched Your Video AreReady And You Have A Good Day 🤗 Peace ✌

@@SuperTruckerdan You Welcome
If you ever visit the UK don't go never Milton Keynes it has roundabouts to get onto roundabouts even us Brits are scared of the place
Why don't you try laying down your blankets before you strap and throw the straps over them? I kind of started doing that after my blankets would slip off because of the wind and the flapping
Ha how did ya like the roundabout in Leesville before ya headed into Ft Polk? It’s only a few years old but has made traffic merging onto 171 much easier,
Can you give your opinion on when a trucking company shuts down? Celadon filed for bankruptcy, leaving thousands stranded out on the road
Do you have places along the routes where you can get the tarps repaired? Pretty much every town in Uk has at least 5 roundabouts and yes we get the cars up the inside (who obviously think your wrong to need so much room. Doh).
Traffic cricles are nice and all but why three of them to get to that truck stop?
Jacksonville 295 is called beltway too
