- Went bowfishing on my cousins boat the other night. I really meant to record a bunch, but unfortunately it didn’t work it that way. (We need a camera man BAD) we ended up with a cooler full! Here’s a video on how we clean Sting Ray and Gar! I’ll make a video later on how to cook them!

54 yrs old and never have I gotten to see a stingray filleted. That negative woman the other day , saying that garbage about you. Well, I tend to think you have gotten way more people to pay attention to your way of life. I for one love it. I thank that Negative Nancy for directing my attention to your channels.

I’m from London, England, and Americans often like the southern English accent... but this girl’s accent is way better! So charming, and it doesn’t hurt that she’s so beautiful and down to earth to. I'm from England greater Manchester area and I'll be honest southern/London cockney accents are absolute horrible. My area are like derived from miners so we would be the Alabama of England. Nobody understand us. But London is way to city and overcrowded. No disrespect

I've never ate gar before. I was a 3rd generation Wabash River commercial fisherman til 5 yrs. ago. You clean your gar the much the same way we cleaned sturgeon! I used a meat cleaver where you used a machete! Still have my great great great grand daddies meat clever! Many thanks for all you do. Brings back many memories for me!

Great that you guys are keeping alive knowledge of how to live off the land and water.
Here in Tokyo everything is automated and pre-packaged, and therefore people work together less regarding food. When a person here loses a job, they are pretty much out to sea and find it hard to get by.

Awesome! My mom caught a 6 1/2 foot gar when I was a kid and we ate it. I remember it being kind of gristally. We have a lot of gar here. I am going gar fishing and try it again. Now that I know how to clean them. Thank you so much for doing these videos! Takes me back home. When the world shuts down I will be able to feed my family.

Ray gun Reagan yes but over the years we have not been around much life tends to keep us busy on our farms. She’s an ag teacher now teaching the next generation of farmers. Hanna is as cool as she is a good country girl.

We use Hvac tin snips to cut through a gar, works great!
Tin snips are amazing for everything
I use heavy garden shears and cut right down the spine then skin them out, works great
Great memories, my friends father used to fish in Puerto Rico when we were kids. He would bring a bunch of us to help pull the net for him. Sometimes we would catch stingray , and I remember how we would get so happy because we knew that was lunch. Thanks for bringing back some great memories.

I like the way y’all get together and clean your catch assembly line style. That’s how me and my brothers used to do it. When I was little I was fascinated at watching them clean the fish at Spence’s Fish House down in Niceville, FL. I actually still love the smell in a fish market to this day! 😲😜 Your relationship with with each other is so awesome and it just makes your videos that much better. I certainly ‘preciatechall too! Keep it up

Thanks for this video. I just skinned the first of 16 stingray filets I have in the freezer, and I was going from the end not the center. Your method of center out looks much easier and faster. Glad I watched after the first one and not after the 16th LOL

I got the shorter one. It's OK for some things, but I really hate the saw back. The saw is useless, and you can't baton firewood because of it. It's main use is to keep me from beating up my skrama on dumb stuff.

A bunch of family, friends, get together at deer season..at the end of the day..it was like a production line...everyone just had their own job to do..it was like a finely tuned engine...great video you guys..enjoyed it...god bless

I wish I lived in an are like that. I grew up in the hills of TN and moved out into the city and ever since Ive been trying to get back to the country. I hate the city so much because theres nothing fun to do that doesnt involve electronics which is just sad.
