- This 4K travel video shows a city tour of Split, Croatia with all top attractions, beaches and nightlife.
Split is the second largest city of Croatia and is located on the Adriatic sea coast. The fabulous town is a great travel destination that offers big variety of activities. Split's landmark is the Diocletian Palace from the 4th century that occupies a large part of the old town. You can stroll through a maze of charming alleys filled with historical sites, lively squares and plenty of cozy restaurants and cafes.
Split's most central place is the beautiful Riva waterfront promenade that is lined with palm trees and dining venues, and is a perfect place for walks and socializing.
There are several beaches within the town where you can sunbathe in the summer.
Split can be also used as a gateway to visit some of the Croatian islands nearby. From the port you can get on a ferry and travel to the popular islands of Hvar, Brac, Korcula, Vis and more.
You can also go on an exciting day trips to Krka National Park and Plitvice Lakes.
