There are a number of flaws in this project. Some of them have been mentioned in earlier comments, eg the low voltage end, both wires and PCB traces are too thin to handle 90 Amps required for a 1000W load and attaching the heatsinks to the MOSFETs by superglue is a totally ridiculous idea. But there are other problems as well. When you connect MOSFETs in parallel you should not connect the gates together, each gate must have a separate low Ohm resistor. This is to prevent parasitic high frequency oscillations that will occur if all gates are tied together with the corresponding increase in the cumulative gate capacitance. So your device will creat havoc emitting (unintended) high frequency radiation all over the place which you did not bother to suppress. Also your timing circuitry of 57 kOhm and 0.1 Mcf is set to generate output frequency of 220 Hz. What other than incandescent bulbs can you power with such high frequency? At the same time this frequency is actually too low to be handled at full power by such a small transformer. I expect the transformer to become very hot if run any length of time even at your experiment's 500W, let alone at 1000W. Unfortunately my friend, power invertors are not simple devices. There is a reason why they tend to be bulky and expensive. What worries me is the your watchers might get a wrong idea of how to design and build such devices and will attempt to imitate it with potentially very unpleasant consequences.
@Rik rik Yep, looked at your video. Not much to critique there as not a lot of info provided. The video is mute, there is no oscillograms to look at the waveforms., your explanation in the comment section is barebones. The only thing I noticed that the voltage drop under the load of 12W LED lamp is quite significant. I suspect the circuit cannoy deliver 12W, let alone 24W. But that could simply be that your output transformer is not sufficiently rated.
@Rik rik Good luck. Also bear in mind that square shaped current is not the best thing to send to a low frequency-rated transformer. It is full of higher harmonics that will produce eddy currents in the transformer's core heating it up. These losses of course reduce efficiency of the circuit as well as affecting the magnetic characteristics of the core as those alter with the temperature.
with two transistors in parallel the power dissipated in each IRF3205 = 30 Watts. Thats a LOT of power but he has some good heatsinks so maybe it can work. But the traces are carrying 96 Amps so if he loads it to 1KW the traces will burn up. and that shit thin wire cannot take 1KW and you notice that he loading it with 500 Watts and the bulbs run bright for a second and then dim.
Hold that thought - whilst the concepts are nice, the execution and 'teaching' is piss poor, there is not a consideration for the high power involved, and no effort at all to correct the EMI this generates... Also note the flimsy undersized wiring, that will catch fire if run at full power...
Where are the 8 mosfets in the circuit diagram?? ..reminds me of your solar cell video.... Why even bother making fake videos? To what end?? Whats the point?
Ferrite cores don;t work at 50/60Hz. If a 50Hz Frequency is needed iron cores (laminated) work well. Battery is not shown. Needs a much larger heat sink. Well a lot of other flaws. Waste of time. BTG TIGER 1997.
Send me diagram details with used spare part transistor number and used transformer is available in market ?and these are transistor or mos -fet and is this chopper transformer?please give all details if possibble
Oye amigo, deberías producir esos prototipos que creo que son más que un prototipo por cierto Producir los en masa y lanzarlo al mercado yo que tu lo haría.
I want to see a like perpetual motor setup. I would like to see what happens if you use car batteries power a dc car motor then use that motor to power or spin a car alternator/generator motor then use the electricity from the alternator/generator motor then pass the electricity generated through a step up transformer and then if needed change the electricity back to dc if needed again I am not sure then use the higher amount of electricity to charge up the car batteries but use a voltage regulator to not possibly overcharge the car batteries. I want to see if you can keep the car batteries charged up permanently by making a perpetual motion motor setup. I would like to see how much if it does work how much electricity left over there is to power something like another dc electric motor that has a load on it or a bunch of light bulbs until it either uses all the extra electricity or find out there is no extra electricity from this kind of setup.
