You can actually set the llama down as soon as you grab it out of the cage and hold E on it and deploy it like you would a follower and you can press Z to whistle and it will follow you so you don't have to carry it. :]
When picking up alpaca from bandit pen you can put it down, long-E click and select 'deploy'. This way i was able to 'call mount to follow'. I did not had to carry baby alpaca to base, it just followed me. Maybe it's working as well with Llama
I found a baby Alpaca in a pen with a little fence at an Outcast camp, picked it up, found that I couldn't move fast and put it back in the pen. When I came back later there was a fully grown Alpaca in the pen with a baby one. The grown one was tamed so I had it follow me home. 😁
I made a mini campfire base south of the portal complete with a hitch post and traps. Then i took my current mount home and death respawned at the Llama camp. To catch it I made my trap near rocks then scared the baby toward the rocks. Left the baby Llama at the camp to grow up and abused death respawn to collect.
We are just getting into the game, thanks for all the guides. If you don't have it yet, maybe some resource guide would be nice I had issue finding clay and distinguishing between tree types etc.
@@KiahOnFireOfficial Hi Kiah, had the same issue with @MrAlliancepwner, the trap doesn't get closed even tho the Llama already go inside , tried multiple times and it's the same :( Do you know why it happen?

can confirm ... makes it way easier
I wish I read this before and not after getting my Llama xD
when you have an ai following you whether it be an animal or npc do you have to wait for it to catch up to you or will it keep up?
@@TheFreshSesh98 The NPC's teleport, never tested with a mount though.

LLAMA HYPE!! No more carrying sleepy tribesmen and babies by hand anymore!
Yes, most important thing to have in these types of games! A MOUNT!
The cockney/essex dialect is SO funny. It's not LAMA it is LAMER. It's not WATER it is WUOA. Too funny.

I gotchu!
@@KiahOnFireOfficial tall trees for hardwood, that was a good info for me
I happened to find a white one not too far from your shortcut to the north country. So thanks 2x!
Thanks for the video!
Getting to that portal for the first time is the pain in the @ss, it is so dangerous. I died
Thanks. Going to skip alpaca and to straight lama
Great Great Llama!!!!
That is so cute.
mine was bugged, put saddle on and the wicker and no option to ride, only view items
great video, thanks
Can you take animals through the portals?
You can and tribesmen. I usually access the terminal whilst sitting on my llama
How do u have the whole map unlocked?
I can''t seem to figure out how to breed those guys. Any idea? Also I didn't find any guide on that so it might be a good video topic ;)
You can't yet!
Llamas for the win.....
Is there like a specific amount of corn needed? Does not work for me
just 1. what's not working for you with it? I tamed one yesterday with the same method
Yeah currently they just stare at the trap if anything. I I had a full grown one pop the trap and take a corn. Bet I got
