I got the Pixel 8 Pro but I didn't like it (bad display quality) but this S24+ will be my phone from now on. Only neg is that the Onyx Black is not Black but Grey. Watching from Somalia
I've gotta be honest man, one big reason why I subbed to you and prefer to watch your videos over others is your comments you make in your videos. Very pleasant indeed. Never change, good sir.
Thank you for your review, I also did an in-depth review of the S24 after using it for almost 2 weeks and no regrets! Feel free to check it out. Exynos did a pretty good job this year.
I bought the S24+ instead of the Ultra simply because I don’t need the S-Pen, it’s much closer to the Ultra than the base model in terms of specs (compared to previous years, when it was just a larger base model), $1300 is too high (I could barely stomach $1200 for previous Ultra models), and I prefer this form factor over the Ultra’s. I got the anti-reflective screen protector for free on preorder, slapped it right on and bam! My S24+ has the same anti-reflective screen as the Ultra.
I just bought my S24+ w/ Exynos 2400 set at FHD+, standard performance, adaptive motion (120 Hz refresh rate), 5G on, Bluetooth on, and after using for 5 days, I usually have around 5-6 hours of SOT that uses 80%-90% battery, mostly for social media browsing, Spotify and online shopping, without gaming. My fully charged battery usually lasts only around 20-21 hours before fully discharged. For me this is quite disappointing since all new phones I bought in the past had batteries that could last over a day with similar usage. I have been scrolling Reddit and Samsung community pages to see if other people actually have the same issue as I do, and some do, some don't. But all the UA-cam reviews seems to be praising the battery life of S24+ w/ Exynos 2400 and demo battery drain tests which mine could not replicate.
I have been using mine for just over a week as well! I don't find it too big as i tried an s23 ultra for a while that really was too big. The battery life so far has been great, the display is crisp and beautiful had no issues seeing it outside in bright daylight. The only things that dissapoint me is the camera in low light is grainy i have tried different ways to improve this nothing is helping and the speakers are just ok they're not on the iphone 15 pro level however everything else about the phone is great. If anyone has any camera tips i'd be grateful i've tried changing some settings but had no luck. Overall though i do think it's a great phone and i am happy with it as an upgrade from the 13 pro i used for the past two years.
The camera has a bug across s24 models where 50mp and 200mp have improper processing that looks awful in low light. Use the 12 mp mode for most consistent colors. I observed this bug on the plus and ultra
Coming from a S21U, i feel like the S24+ is doing actually better than expected. It's faster, but i feel like in some situations i lost a bit in the camera because ultras will always be ultras. But there are other benefits like more AI features and software updates and overall more comfortable in-hand feeling

Hey, I have a question. I found the 9-10 hours of screen on time a bit unusual, as I don't even achieve that on my S23 Ultra. Did you simply read the screen on time from the battery section, or did you calculate it separately? Since One UI 6, the screen on time since the last charge is no longer displayed. Instead, you only see the screen on time since midnight, and you have to calculate the real screen on time separately.

I had the excpact same experience. I’d always bought Samsung phones, but I wanted to see what all the fuss is about with Apple, so I bought the iPhone 14 ProMax. I was very disappointed because not only was the color washed out compared to Samsung’s gorgeous vibrant colors, but it was so complicated and confusing to use. It also constantly bombarded me with 30 second ads. I returned it and am now buying the Samsung S14+.
After about 90 days with Google Pixel Pro 8, I absolutely hated everything about it. Doing an early trade in going back to Samsung where I never should have left in the first place. Can't wait to get my hands on this baby!

If you live in UK/Europe go for s23. The Snapdragon Gen2 chip seems te be better (that chip is inside all the s23 models). The Exynos chip seems to be less efficient. I don’t know what kind of user your are, but the s23 is a really good phone and it is a safe option. You will still get 4 years of updates as of now. If you want a proper comparison between the s24 and s23 and the chipsets in the phones, checkout Techmo . He did a couple of tests (also with cellular battery drain, since that is the real test).
Unlike my S24+, I'm guessing you aren't having the dull color issue like other S24+ users? Are you seeing a difference when you toggle between vivid and normal?
I was comparing my camera with my friend's phone camera, and his camera took much better pictures than mine. His pictures were sharp, vivid, and the colours were vibrant, while mine looked dull and washed out. His phone is a poco f2 pro which is medium end phone from 2020 📸📱 which really shouldn't be beating a flagship in 2024 in my opinion.
@mantid83 I did and no, it was not even close. I did see that Samsung will be adding more options to change how Vivid Mode will work in the next update.
How do I have 2 separate OUTLOOK icons - one for personal hotmail and one for work hotmail address? I do NOT want to have a Google email and a hotmail email - that would require advising soooo many people that I have moved and have a new phone number etc.
I'm torn between upgrading s24+ or the s23+ from s10e. I got a hold 24+ in store and think it's a bit big for my pocket. The QHD vs FHD display isn't that noticeable. I do not actually care the new AI feature. I just need a decent sized phone with great display and battery and I think s23+ will do the job.
Just when you think you can get rid of the Apple iPhone they pull you back in if you're already a customer, if not I'm considering one, because you can go up to 30 feet for 1/2 hour in any kind of liquid including the beach versus 5 feet for Samsung, may not be something to consider for some, but I would think most after you drop it in the deep end of most pools for example, would wanna go with apple just a thought....
I completely disagree... the plus is the perfect size. Still one handable and I actually like that it looks like and iPhone. I like the iPhones design language I just hate iOS and apple's business practices of trickling out updates and being late to the game on new features like 120hz screen, QHD+, etc.
Great review- thanks for taking the time go on about the historically underselling "ugly duckling" of the Galaxy S2x lot 😆 I'm one of those mad ones who upgraded from 23+ (SD2) to 24+ (SD3). Top reason: trade-in credit and killer deal I got on 23+ purchase made the upgrade worthy of serious consideration. Other reasons: Display is 30% sharper and 50% brighter than the Galaxy S23+ Finally now, the more compact cousin of the pokey/bloaty S24 Ultra has legit battery and display(higher PPI, even!) swagger. Battery runtime is awesome (2 days easily on an 80% charge that has 25-30% remaining on day 3) Double the storage 50% more RAM 7 years of software updates may be a bit of a stretch though with SD 3 and 12 GB of RAM, it might hum along nicely for a while beyond OnePlus' 4 years.
I got the S24 Plus 512GB and i think the plus has the best value this year it has now a QHD+ (3120x1440) wich gives it the highest ppi 513 in the s24 series. It has a 6.7 inch display and a 4900mah battery so for me its the best value of all the models S24 Ultra included!
@@Drakewyrm I don't have any problems with it it performs the same as my previous S23 ultra with the snapdragon 8 gen 2 and on some things it's even better and faster so, Exynos did a good job like in the past!

Just ordered mine at 899€. So 300 off the Finnish launch price. Still WAYYY too expensive for a phone, but it was bundled with Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2024 LTE, which I figure I can sell for ~250€, so it'll bring the price of the phone to around 650€, which for this much phone seems reasonable. A lot of money for sure, but with 3 years of warranty and 7 years of all updates I'll be phoned up until I'm 51. I figure I might get a hundred for my OnePlus 7T, or leave it as a very capable backup.
@shanepatrick641 Ironically, no 🤣 could be cuz im near sighted and so focus on fine details closer to my eyes better but even then its not too noticeable, however I cant deny having the Qhd on a large phone is just nice I think of it as an upgrade to my old display because I cant really notice the jump from Super amoled to dynamic amoled 2x and my display was already 120hz ;)

His phone is a poco f2 pro which is medium end phone from 2020 📸📱 which really shouldn't be beating a flagship in 2024 in my opinion.
@davidhiggins2804 change your camera settings.
@mantid83 I did and no, it was not even close. I did see that Samsung will be adding more options to change how Vivid Mode will work in the next update.
Just got this for £400 brand new. Coming from a Poco F3, I'm hoping to be blown away.
Where does he get those wallpapers, golly. Great content as always, mate.
does anyone know real battery life on s24 plus exynos, i m geniuine curios i ve heard mixed opinions
What did you do in Leipzig? :o
wish I had met you :3
Where do you get all these anime wallpapers from? Please point me in the right direction.
Trying to decide between this and Pixel 8 Pro?? Any chance for a comparison vid please? :)
Samsung s24 is the better choice
Love watching video reviews of phones I'll never own😂
Same 💀
Where do u get to your wallpapers from 😮🔥🔥🔥
What's the name of the game you show on the video when talking about performance and gaming?
Genshin Impact
Another great video !!
What are your thoughts on an upgrade to this from s22 ultra ( if indeed you consider it an upgrade ) ?
How do I have 2 separate OUTLOOK icons - one for personal hotmail and one for work hotmail address? I do NOT want to have a Google email and a hotmail email - that would require advising soooo many people that I have moved and have a new phone number etc.
Jock strap full of wasps? 😂😂 New follower from across the pond. Very knowledgeable and most entertaining at the same time. 👍
The 23 is a great choice. It's just a year old and will get the AI features in the next update
Nice vid mate, is there a honor magic 6 pro review coming?
Very potentially yes!
@@TechSpurt let's go! Maybe you can include a Xiaomi 14 pro comparison (camera and hardware tests).
@@TechSpurtKiru sa mees 😠
1:04 freaking died 🤣 it was literally my first thought when I saw the s24 ultra.. that looks scary
Can it capture pictures of moving subjects(e.g., kids, pets) at daytime, mostly blurry free?
What's theme app you use??
Nice job ... the 24 plus looks like a good one .
I love your wallpapers
I completely disagree... the plus is the perfect size. Still one handable and I actually like that it looks like and iPhone. I like the iPhones design language I just hate iOS and apple's business practices of trickling out updates and being late to the game on new features like 120hz screen, QHD+, etc.
Loving the s24 plus
Honest review as always! Thanks mate!
The best reveal here is that the screen on the Plus does not have the anti-glare that the Ultra has.
Can anyone tell me the name of the game shown in the time 0:26 please?
Probably Genshin Impact
Where can I get those high-quality anime wallpapers?
Great review- thanks for taking the time go on about the historically underselling "ugly duckling" of the Galaxy S2x lot 😆
I'm one of those mad ones who upgraded from 23+ (SD2) to 24+ (SD3).
Top reason: trade-in credit and killer deal I got on 23+ purchase made the upgrade worthy of serious consideration.
Other reasons:
Display is 30% sharper and 50% brighter than the Galaxy S23+
Finally now, the more compact cousin of the pokey/bloaty S24 Ultra has legit battery and display(higher PPI, even!) swagger.
Battery runtime is awesome (2 days easily on an 80% charge that has 25-30% remaining on day 3)
Double the storage
50% more RAM
7 years of software updates may be a bit of a stretch though with SD 3 and 12 GB of RAM, it might hum along nicely for a while beyond OnePlus' 4 years.
Mr. Squirt, Thanks for posting this video.
For someone considering to buy pixel 8 pro now or Samsung S24 plus, which would you recommend
What does you do Al the phones tabs and laptop
@tech spurt if you had a choice would you choose the s24 plus or a s24 ultra??
S24+(sd) or s23+ which one ie better value for money?
4:21 you CAN'T tweat the color output and make it looks "vivid"!!! don't mislead people...
@@girlsdrinkfeck no, they said it was intentional shift and there will be no update :/
This model does not have lens fog issue as Xiaomi?
where do you get your wallpapers
Arriving today 6pm to 10pm, looking forward to getting my hands on it.
I want to change my A71, but i don t know what to buy; S23+ or S24+? In my country S24+ use exynos.
Hbout the 24 ultra?
I really like your video, can you share the wallpaper you used, I really like it
I got the S24 Plus 512GB and i think the plus has the best value this year it has now a QHD+ (3120x1440) wich gives it the highest ppi 513 in the s24 series. It has a 6.7 inch display and a 4900mah battery so for me its the best value of all the models S24 Ultra included!
Best value indeed but the Exynos processor for us Europeans sucks.
@@Drakewyrm I got no problems with it i get 1781381 on antutu with it while it's the exynos chip!
@@Drakewyrm I don't have any problems with it it performs the same as my previous S23 ultra with the snapdragon 8 gen 2 and on some things it's even better and faster so, Exynos did a good job like in the past!
@@TheCorne87exynos just sucks big time! I never had good experiences with it. Not optimised and apps crash. Yet again it just... Sucks!
Love your review what i could decipher lol. Just ordered the plus. Anxious ly awaiting my new toy!
0:24 What game is that?
Genshin Impact
When the display looks good from the display of another phone more than the display of the more, you know you've made it.
Just picked this one up it's quite enjoyable I'm getting familiar with my new baby 😊
I'm thinking whether to get S24+ or Oneplus 12...
I'm thinking the same. I'm currently using the OnePlus 9 pro. I'm probably gonna get the S24+ because I don't want a phone from Chinese brand anymore.
Everything about this video is simply perfect. Thank You ♥️♥️
Can someone tell what app he used for those cool anime wallpaper
For some reason my s24+, sd variant, goes from 100% battery to 99 almost immediately after I unplug it. Is it just me?
I just pulled the trigger on the S24+ to replace my S20 FE 5g since it remained at Android 13. It was either going to be this or the Oneplus 12. Luckily I got a trade-in with my cell phone provider (T-Mobile) that covered the cost. It will be nice having a phone that's paid for and it's still getting updates for 7 years.
the full cost? my carrier and Samsung itself are offering about 1/3rd of the cost if I trade in my s20fe
@@Zreknarf T-Mobile in offering $1000 credit toward the S24+ for my S20 FE 5g, which is one of the cheapest and oldest phones on the list. It's definitely more than I paid for it.
@jerrybandy3827 can I ask what your monthly payment is? seems like mine will be ~$66.75 usd if I get a s24+
@jerrybandy3827 if you're forced to use the $100 plan to get the "free" phone then I won't feel so bad about "only" getting $400 for the s20fe haha
well I found a few more strings to pull and bought the phone. s24+ and 50gb plan $53.06 tax incl
I've got the s23 plus and I think the plus model is the pick of the bunch. My battery life is amazing but it's not as massive as the ultra
As an Ultra user, I completely agree. The ergonomics and roundedness really sits in the hand well and those uniform tiny bezels are a win!
I’m thinking about going for S23 Plus or S24 plus exynos + free samsung watch? Which should i pick
@@UziuLK unless the price difference isn't much id say go with the s23plus. Exynos doesn't age well. Also the upgrades are so minor this year you're not really missing much
Just ordered mine at 899€.
Can you start shooting in a wider resolution so when I turn my s23 ultra I won't end up with all the bars on the side? Thaaaanks
Zoom out to fill the screen! There!
picked this up basically half off, only way id compromise for an exynos but been loving the QHD coming from the 20 FE!
😮😮 is the difference really that big?
@shanepatrick641 Ironically, no 🤣 could be cuz im near sighted and so focus on fine details closer to my eyes better but even then its not too noticeable, however I cant deny having the Qhd on a large phone is just nice
I think of it as an upgrade to my old display because I cant really notice the jump from Super amoled to dynamic amoled 2x and my display was already 120hz ;)
Question , is the exynos really that bad?@@himi399
Can somebody tell me which game he is playing. Please
May not be today, may not be Tomorrow. But one day i will purchase this before the 26 uktra releases
I have a plus model on order here in Canada. Looking forward to trying it out. Coming from a Pixel 7.
how is it ? because im planning to buy it from canada for the snapdragon processor.. can you give me an update pls? reg battery life and heating issues, and how has the switch been from pixel ?
Mate, please do tell, where do you get your wallpapers?
And he never replies 😅
Great review you covered it well thanks
I use both 15ProMax and S24+ as my main daily phones 💪💪
Any samsung review: the exynos is "meh", snapdragon is king. I used both. For a regular user or client, that it's not visible and many don't care...
Strange question but can you work with another content creator and do a swap of versions?
Then you can do a conparison between them which no YT creator has done yet.
I legitimately wanna know if the S24+ is worse than the snapdragon. And by how much.
I can look at benchmarks but i would love to hear your take having used both.
I just want to know how kuch they ripped us this time. And unless i know the person has used the other its hard to tell the difference
