So does the airborne module have a video in/out and takes the existing video/osd signal through there ? Do you see anything in your live view that is different because of the extra signal the module is putting through it. I like the idea of this, you have to usually go with one manufacturers OSD and use their tracker, locks you in. Hope you'll do a few long range demos with some fpv recordings on the plane
+CurryKitten I've seen no difference between original video and the output of the airborne module. I have to do a latency test, but i dont think it adds latency... I agree its a nice idea to be osd independend.
Hi RCShim, nice video as usual :-) you should check out the RSSI Pro Track it needs no extra onboard equipment and is much more versatile and simpler to setup/operate than the Arkbird, it's basically a plug and play ground station no GPS or OSD required comes with the antennas and built-in receivers with diversity option for close in FPV racing
+thomas donnelly thanks for the tip. Is this the one with 3 antennas and rssi based selection and then turning? I like the idea but never saw them around. Maybe most of us are satisfied with diversity and good antennas like an pepperbox?
Yep that's the one the RSSI Pro Track continuous 360 rotation it's a long range tracker that also works close in for racing, think it's the only tracker out there at the moment that can perform both functions, and is also the easiest to operate, I know most of us are satisfied with diversity and pepperbox etc but thought this video was for people who might be looking to use tracking aids? for a better video feed cheers :-)
+BOKI797 thanks Dave! First i only wanted to show a ground demo of this unit. Then it triggered my curiosity abs i found that i can use my quad rather than the plane. It was really fun to test it and see how good it works
Of course you need to pay attention what contents you will get if you buy it now (this review is 6years old, so the product might have changed). Generally I wouldnt use a tracker anymore. It looks very nice and I love the tech stuff - but with modern video transmission and good antennas I dont see the need anymore.
Friend where did you buy this antenna tracker? Can I use with other controller like F4, Cyclops or Fy-41AP? What do I need for it to work with my FPV system?
no, I only used the plane with arkbird last summer for a few flights. this was not the fault of the arkbird, but rather the xuav one didnt fly that good, and motor gears stripped out soon. I have a mini talon to build which should inherit the electronix from xuav one then.
Schönes Video. Welchen Tracker würdest du aus eigener Erfahrung empfehlen? Den teureren Arkbird oder den günstigere Immersion RC Tracker? Rein von der Qualität des trackens? Vielen Dank.
Hey Carlos, Arkbird AAT is able to work with other controlling system, you can download manual on arkbirdfpv.com and find connection way without arkbird controller.
hi, with any OSD BUT: you need the arkbirds "airmodule" which encodes GPS signals into VIDEO and AUDIO channels of downlink. You can take GPS from your other OSD if it is compatible else you also need a gps antenna for the arkbird airmodule. anyhow this is better than other systems like the ezOSD / Antennatracker combo - this is really restricted to ezOSD alone...
I think it will work with video only as well since arkbird encodes telemetry data in video. of course having both is optimal but if video fails audio fails normally as well. in short: the yellow LED will flash (telling you that video channel receives GPS data, the green led will not)
RCSchim Ohhh okay thanks because some websites all told me that i could only use 1.2/5.8GHz.. And I just needed a 2.4GHz system haha, the antenna’s for 2.4GHz have a much higher gain and lower price because wifi is the same frequency and price-demand.. you know what I mean, but I’m happy I can use a 2.4GHz video system!! What a relief🤪
+Schnatti88 hast wahrscheinlich recht. Gibt genug Videos auf UA-cam in en... Ich hab damals en begonnen weil die fpvler hauptsächlich en gesprochen haben. Jetzt sind meine Abonnenten recht international, die meisten können nicht de... Lg, Rcschim

Ok but how are you powering the module
RCSchim you are Really Good @ showing how To use everything & that's Nice ! I enjoy all your Videos ! Thanks ! Dave B. Illinois !

That is one big-ass quad you've got there!
so is it a complete kit or you need to get gps?
Of course you need to pay attention what contents you will get if you buy it now (this review is 6years old, so the product might have changed).

@@Rcschim my pepper box antenna is 160 degrees beam horizontal

Have you tried the ppm mode with the ezuhf with your arkbird autopilot?

hello can you help me how to connect in cyclops storm?
I'm afraid no. sorry...
if it's a general question maybe.
nice job Mario,U are the man!
what if my vtx doesnt have an audio channel so to say

Does the arkbird AAT also work with a 2.4ghz video system?
Benjamin Coussement yes, it is not fixed on video frequency. You just have to use an analogue video transmission.

Hi Bro, very nice video!!!
+Xiong Jungle thanks. I think i remember that you are the dev behind this tracker :)
RCSchim, haha, In fact, I am not dev but responsible for anything relate to oversea arkbird. Similar as Ms April Deng.
