I have the 88 petrol version and it just doesn't die, bought it beat up for a daily cleaned her up and then found out that there aren't many around absolutely treasure of a car providing you treat it right
I just found one that a guy imported in as good if not better condition with less miles. I wish vehicles like this were more common. The 90s was the best for cars.
The alternator went out on mine at about 420,000 km and I had to drive it the 200 km home without electricity (the fuel pump used what was remaining in the battery - but no lights, no heat...).
This thing is my dream car, I have a FWD 91 Corolla that is so fun to drive. My only gripe is that there’s not AWD. This has to be the dream to drive for your entire life.
This looks a LOT like my 1990 Toyota Camry, 4 WD!! I truly thought this was incorrect. My All-trac Camry has the same original factory color, body style etc. But, my wheels are alloy, and my engine is NOT diesel, and, my transmission is automatic, with 2.0 ltr., and an added power assist button. Interesting. I LOVE my Camry for the 4WD capabilities. It has spoiled me!
Mine was not the 4WD version. After about 350,000 km I needed to have the wheel bearings replaced. At about 400,000 km the mechanic pointed to the engine and said "Rolls Royce - that thing is never going to die." I sure wish I could get one today. I gave it to my daughter.
Parts for these are not as available as you may think. I have a 91 gas version that is U.S. spec and parts are getting harder to find these days. Filters and very basic stuff like bulbs and some suspension stuff is fine other then that you’ll have to order stuff from overseas if your lucky to fine it. And that will get spendy
if you part it out on my country, all those interior bits combined would cost more than the average market price of that car in my country (yes incl carpets)
So the 4wd did come in sedan in the carolla alltrac sedan but it didn't have the diesel engine. It had the 4afe engine and push button locking differential
Right hand drives takes about 15 to conquer. I bought a '98 Land Cruiser from this site. Right hand drive, 5 speed, diesel, 120k miles. Hope its my last vehicle. Dealerships are useless to fix JDM vehicles.
I just love how these things look. Most people probably think they look boring and whatnot, but i love it.

Watching this makes me happy coz i own one but this is definitely a visual tresures of old school lovers!

Looking at it from the front, it looks like a miniature Cressida.
I had an 84 loaded cressida my favorite car I ever owned
The Toyota Cressida was a tank

What a car, I wish it was still available for purchase.
The corner marker 'lights' are actually fiber optic fed from the corner lamps

Toyota proves that even car could be a real good investment.
Amazing car. Practice, chip and very reliable
Not cheap. Old school mastercraft(modern days cars are cheap and not worth buying.)
Just got one in wagon body. 1.5 diesel turbo, still running strong

Is it your daily car or?
Damn this is one of the coolest car I've ever seen
How much did this sell for? Just curious. I’m looking at a 1996 Corolla with same motor and 4wd

Wow. thanks for sharing your story! Glad you enjoyed

We did get Corolla All-Trac sedans in the US. Only for 1989. Very rare.
Correct! We did
But the all Trac Camry from 86-90, it's a good choice too.
I have a 2004 NA Corolla. Its gas but 5 speed with 370k miles. Planning on driving it into the ground, then 2gr-fe swapping it :)
They will likely outlast the cockroaches
Question is the one in the us can it be converted into one like this but with the gasoline engine.
So the 4wd did come in sedan in the carolla alltrac sedan but it didn't have the diesel engine. It had the 4afe engine and push button locking differential

I had the same car. Mine had a 1C 1800 Diesel.

@@charliekendall4288 how's your Land cruiser doing?
gloves belong in the glove box
this is a running coffin. It has no safety feature to protect you in a crash. If you live on farm, it is OK to drive it. But not city drive.
Safer than a motor cycle. A car is only as safe as the driver anyway.
