Damn, they were so young here. I was absolutely obsessed with the boys as a teen, and I always saw them as being so much older than me like "omg they were in their TWENTIES?!" But now that I'm 21 it's so strange to see them at the same age as I am now.

These genius' were only 20,21 and 22 yrs. old. So hard to believe. I'm 55 yrs. old I have been listening to all types of music since I was 3 yrs. old. I've been to at the minimum 100 concerts. I have never come across talent as such. If you are a young person and have not really researched the Beatles please do so. You will be amazed at their talent. These 4 guys started the rock and roll craze. Yes, Elvis was the King of Rock. Take away his stunning looks and I doubt he would've been crowned the King of Rock. Yes, there is Michael Jackson, the King of POP and yes he deserves the thrown. The Beatles are certainly the Kings of rock. May I suggest their best albums... #1 Revolver, #2 Rubber Soul and the White Album. Have fun,enjoy and rock on.

From memory I think the date they performed in Cheltenham is about right, but the venue is incorrect. They actually played at the Gaumont Cinema in Winchcombe Street, latterly the Odeon and just recently demolished. The ABC in 1960 was called The Regal but was on the corner of the Promenade and St Georges Road.
Brings back memories. I saw them 2 months before this in Preston (Lancashire) Town Hall.

Thanks for sharing. The date is incorrect however. Paul states his age as 21. This would put the interview sometime after 18 June 1963. Ringo says he is 22. This would put the interview sometime before July 7. So it falls somewhere between 19 June and 6 July 1963. :)

Most definitely not the only one. I say that nearly every day and have been bitchin and whinin about it for years now!!! I for one, would totally be willing to give up my cellphone and other great technology to go back to a better time. ESPECIALLY if I knew I'd be able to enjoy everything pertaining to The Beatles, get to see them in concert or better yet, know them, be friends with them and grow up with them.
I like to fantasize about knowing them and being priveledged enough to get to be at their shows, go on tour with them, chill in studio with em and hang out under normal circumstances outside of anything having to do with their famous lifestyles.

But in the video Ringo says he's 22 years old as well (This means it was recorded after the 18th of Juni, but before the 7th of Juli, which doesn't make sense). So they were obviously joking as this can be seen by their smiles just after their age was told. Both John and Ringo were 23 years old when this was recorded :-)
perhaps the concert was recorded Nov and the interview earlier? Who knows? It is a mystery! LOL. Have a good day.

John's 23rd birthday was coming up on October 9. George was so young~only 20 years old! I just read an article that says George's actual birth date is February 24, 1943. I'll see if I can find the article and post it here.

Actually, the Beatles' tailor Douglas Millings took credit for creating the suits they wore and claimed that Pierre Cardin ripped him off. At least that's what his (Millings) son claimed later on.
