- Former defence lawyer in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial Advocate Malesela Teffo is back in the spotlight. The high court in Pretoria has found him in contempt of court, for disobeying a strike-off order. He's been given a 12-month suspended sentence with strict conditions. The Legal Practice Council council pressed for Teffo's removal from the roll of advocates and brought the matter before the court. Ayanda Nyathi speaks to the council's director in Gauteng, Ignatius Briel.

Good people, I DON'T think that Mr Teffo is in good mental health at all. Where are his relatives to assist in this regard. Besides, the LPC has to lookat his case otherwise. There's no legally qualified person can be self-destructive as Mr Teffo is doing to his profession except where he is not right. Nobody must rejoice in this kind of downfall. Kuninzi. That's my opinion.
