- Easy way to make potholders with no binding. These are great for Christmas gifts. Today I am making ones for Dog Lovers, with a fun dog print. These have no binding added but look like they do. These are a quick gift that anyone can do.
I talked about the Fur Kids Foundation in the video and her is their links:

Thank you for taking the time to make this tutorial, but I will tell those who might not know that you want at least one layer of an insulated batting (like Insul Bright) along with those two layers of cotton batting. If you do not add the insulated layer, you WILL burn yourself if your pan is hot enough. For instance, I often use my cast iron pan at temps of 400 degrees F. and sometimes higher. Without the insulating layer, I would not only burn my hand but probably drop the hot pan.
Thank you! Great idea and I love this method of binding
Thank you for this video. Very easy to understand and also learned a new technique!!
I do that way with baby quilts..l love it.
Thank you for you way on sowing I'm lean so much from you new way of doing you bey ning🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️
Thank you for sharing. Making videos is not as easy as one would think. You are doing a great job and with anything people get better as they go. Hope this finds you well and keep the videos coming as I think you are doing a fine job. Good vibes sent to you from Iowa. 🦋❄️🦋❄️
At minute marker 13:24 seconds you really should have zoomed in closer so we could see exactly what you were doing. Now if you have 1 inch extra all around the edge you can’t possibly be ironing 1/4 inch in it looks like you ironed half an inch in because you ironed that piece right up to the edge of the batting
another reason why this is the third video I have watched. Nobody seems to be consistent but I’ll figure it out but I feel bad for the beginners
This is great, thank you for the tutorial!
Would be nice to see the needle do the stitching.
THANK YOU FOR NOT BEENING BORNING BECAUSE THERE IS OTHER LADIES I THINK THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING GOD BLESS FOR BEENING SO GOOD
What size is the bigger backing side? Thanks for your video
i am confused. when you started the video, the blue floral fabric was the larger, back fabric and the dog fabric was the smaller, front side fabric. now, while you are ironing and sewing, the fabrics are reversed. are you still making the same pot holder, or did you switch mid-way through without mentioning it and are now making the reverse design??
I had the same exact question! I noticed the difference in pot holder fabric.
Great ideaa
I wish we had a foundation like that where I used to live. I had to make the decision to hope for the best when my dog broke her leg. The vet wouldn't help her because I couldn't finance the surgery. So I stuck with the cast and pain meds.
Wow that is so crazy
Ok, is it just my phone or did we not get to see how she did the Free Motion, because my Video was Motionless. Lol. I'm not a great sewer, im learning, I cant seem to sew a straight stitch for anything, but to be honest, i couldn't even cut a straight line if i tried. I can still hear my Kindergarten Teacher telling me I was hopeless. Haha. Anyway thanks for the video.
This is such an old video. I will do an other video featuring free motion.
I miss quilting, I had to leave my machines behind.
That's to bad. I find it very relaxing
Can you add a loop.
I did add loops to some as people wanted them.
goodness- now you are using a completely different set of fabrics. for those of us that are new, it would be helpful to start and finish with the same fabric/same piece so that we can always be sure that we have the right side up, etc... this is very confusing.
One of my early videos when I first started. I am better now.
Could not see the actual quilting, film from an different angle.
Sorry Peggy, my sewing room is so small. I will try to do another quilting video at a different angle.
Nice fabric but too much talking and not enough detail ....
One of my very early videos. I hope I am better now.
