I'm a beginner with lighting and was wondering about additional gear to use along with these lights. Like what kind of stand do you think would be good to get for these lights for lighting scenes or what kinds of arm attachments could/should I get for attaching these lights to things around the scene? I'm quite lost when it comes to that part of it. I'm not great with grips at the moment but am trying to learn more by getting two of these little lights and practicing a little with lighting around my house and outside.
I would recommend two inexpensive photo light stands for these to start with! They're not going to be great outdoors in direct sunlight since they won't have quite the punch for that, but otherwise these are great tools for starting to learn!
well done, very informative/ thank you
Thank you for watching!! 🙏 🙏
I wusch they would create a 4 Light Kit
It's a little surprising they haven't, I hope they do for your sake!
4:26 regarding missing magnets: the ballmounts have a magnetic base. They are not the strongest, so mounting them on moving parts or vehicles etc. might be critical. But for static use they’re working fine. Edit: you can unscew the base from the ballmount and then you have exactly what you asked for ;)
My hero 😍😍😍
I use mine a lot with miniatures. I have a small black card i have cut 12 circles out of (4x3) that i place in front of the MC. Throw that in frame and it looks like an old maxi brute unit
When it's in the background out of focus
That's a really cool suggestion, thanks for the tip! I don't do too much miniature work but thay sounds like it'd look awesome.
Where did you get the bubble diffuser?
You can snag it off Aputure's store on their website. It's like $25 or so?
Man, that music... I wish I could listen to what you’re saying. But I can’t. Because crazy dubstep into EDM something. Too bad.
Man, that sucks to be you then.
@@thegranitegaffer Ooooooor you could take that as feedback on the audio side of things. 😉
While I will definitely not be doing that, feel free to check out my latest video: ua-cam.com/video/9HkgeSOSfKU/v-deo.html
It's not dubstep but it does have good tips!
