BWAAHUH?! A new video from me is finally here, and it's quite the arrangement: 8 trombones!! It's my largest video project yet for my channel, and it took a while for the editing (the editing program struggled to work with all these recordings!) There's a lot going on in the video, and I may have had a little TOO much fun with the mayhem...but I hope you all enjoy the video and music! Have any of you played Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle? I liked it a lot (played the whole game on KoopaKungFu!), and the music by good ol' Grant Kirkhope was great as always! Let me know your thoughts on the game and music! (Of course, if you want to talk about my video, that's good too!)
Whoo hoo! This was a great, and entirely unexpected, game. I love that you included footage from all four world sectors that you could journey through, giving time in the sun for each of the playable Nintendo characters and their Rabbid counterparts.
Yeah! I wanted to do more with my editing, and as I had played through this game with footage covering everything, I figured it would be neat to showcase the different Mid Bosses. Showcasing the different characters seemed obvious as well (though poor Yoshi is left out due to being playable AFTER the Mid Boss fights in the story!) Of course, I also dressed myself up as each character too!
My pleasure! It takes some effort to play an instrument, but the payoff is worth the work, especially if it's on something you like to perform (like VGM!)
Thanks Game Brass! It's fun to mix with the stereo placements, so I gave each part it's own place in the left-right channels. Also, I purposely wrote the arrangement to contain stereophonic arpeggios like that, so even in live performances, those could be heard.
Honestly, having this already comic mini boss song played by trombones makes it more nonsensical and I love it! As thats what the game is definitely going for!
I feel like I was the only one who was 100 percent excited for this game and was not concerned about the Rabbids showing up. I personally think there should be a Rabbids Invasion 3 for the switch.
so, I'm curious, what the method is to capture the sound of the trombone when aiming to record and mix these multi-tracked parts together? is it just a mic on a tripod and a prayer of hope that it captures the sound well, or is there more that goes into it?
Well OJ, that's somewhat the method, haha! I currently use a Shure SM57 Mic (on a tripod stand), which is a directional mic, meaning it captures sound in front of it and nowhere else. I also have a bit of soundproofing in my recording area, which helps cut down on extra unwanted sounds. With a quiet room and good mic, I can record high quality trombone sounds, with which I mix together to create an ensemble of me's. The videos are from a webcam mounted on my computer monitor filming me while I record.

Yet another reason for me to pull my trombone off the stand and actually USE it. Thanks for this, it was a great listen!
My pleasure! Give your lips and lungs a good workout!
How did you perfectly capture the sounds that go on in my brain some how? Well done sir.
Well, when musical mayhem is involved, the trombones are probably causing the commotion, haha!
I can only imagine what went through the head of the hat merchant.
"He wants Mario hats and... Rabbit ears? Whu-what?"
Haha! Thankfully, Amazon doesn't ask any questions.
Underrated game and music

This Koops LP was to me one of his best in the recent years. And your interpretation of that tune is incredible!
Thank you! I also thought that LP turned out really well. Though a long series, it was fun to play through the entire game alongside Koops!

A brilliant trombone cover for a brilliant song. Nice job, Enob!
It's been 8 months since I've played my trombone, which is 8 months too long. Thank you for the reminder of this glorious instrument, sir.

One of my favorite pieces of music of all time and I find it two years late because of some illegally low numbers
Yes!
wow this is great! love the left-right echo in the descending arpeggio 👍

Not Only just this arrangement of trombones for this is amazing but the details of the costumes ironically
Some have Rabbid Ears while some not
LOVE IT
Thanks!!
This was awesome, makes me so excited for the upcoming lp.
Great job!
This cover is great. To take a piece made of almost all orchestra and change it to all trombone is just genius. Keep up the good work!
Thanks! It took a lot of work figuring out what to keep and what to cut, but I'm glad with the result.
Fantastic performance; fantastic costumes!
Haha, thanks! I figured the costumes made sense, with there being 8 trombone parts and 8 characters to play as in Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle.
@@SirEnobMort Perfection!
Awesome! I loved this!
Thanks!

Congrats on the Grant Kirkhope shoutout on twitter!
Yeah, I was shocked when he replied and retweeted this video! He's such a good dude (and composer)!
That's really cool I can't believe you created this theme and the costumes were pretty funny lol also I did play this game too
Thanks! Yeah, I had some fun with the outfits (maybe a little too much fun, haha!)

That was awesome, as always Enob! Maybe a collab with Christopher Bill is somewhere in the future?
Thanks! Ooo, a collab with Christopher Bill would be awesome, maybe a VG Symphony #4?
