- Pakistan's Supreme Court adjourned the hearing till Thursday on the no-trust motion. The Supreme Court panel consisting of five judges overseeing the hearing asked Imran Khan to explain the “foreign conspiracy” allegations as was asserted by Khan in an address to the nation where the incumbent Prime Minister also accused the United States of America for trying to oust him from power. This comes after a survey by Geo News indicated 64% Pakistanis feel that the Opposition’s call for a no-confidence motion is because of high inflation and the PTI government’s failure to control the rising prices and not a "foreign conspiracy."
On the other hand Imran Khan's stepson Musa Maneka has distanced him and his family from Farah Khan. Farah Khan allegedly who is said to have fleed Pakistan on April 3 amassing a huge amount of public money. Farah Khan was believed to be a close friend of Bushra Bibi

I have admired Barkha Dutt for ages and think Mojo is a breath of fresh air in these Republic-TV-stained journalistic times, but it's a bit disappointing to see her indulge in gossip column interviews. References to "Pinky Peerni's interests in the occult" were a bit too much to begin with (in the Haqqani interview), and now calling Reham Khan for an interview is the pits. Reham Khan's book , whether accurate or not, thrives on sleaze and thrills. I can imagine Arnab doing this, but Barkha doing it surely signals the death of journalism

That being said, we look up to Mojo Story as a serious platform and not a masala column. Getting someone like Hussain Haqqani to critique Imran Khan is totally acceptable as his positions on the matter are related to the subject - he will debate politically. Bringing in Reham Khan makes the subject one of gossip and innuendo. Might as well have called Sarfaraz Nawaz to the show who would have told us how everyone fixed everything!

Barkha - are you serious - I hate to say this - she seems to be the sautan who is bitter about her personal relationship with Imran - Yes one could argue that his popularity went down before this US plot but since then he is even more popular then he has ever been. And to say he is selected is below the belt - you know he has struggled to get to this position for over 20 years. Frankly, this is how you mislead the Indian public - painting a very black and white picture of Pakistan - where the Army is the one which calls the shots - it's far far from the truth! It's important to address the issue with nuance for the sake of creating an understanding of each other - your narrative is the same old gissa pitta - India the great secular democracy with a problem child neighbor in the name of Pakistan - yes it was maybe 20 years ago. But this is a changed Pakistan - and it would be good if you can see that rather than just keep on interviewing the same old guard and perpetuating your old gissa pitta narrative - by old guard I mean - the Rehams, Haqqanis, Ayesha's etc - they hardly have any credibility in Pakistani circles :) In fact we feel India under Modi has unfortunately embarked on the same unfortunate road that Pakistan took 20 years ago!
