We are Linnea and Akela. Through the van build, I used my stubbornness and drive to show individuals that they, too, can convert a campervan by themselves and on a budget, with a lot of learning, rolling up the sleeves, and getting to work.
Our goal is to inspire individuals to chase their dreams... to break from societal limitations and live the life they truly desire.

I'm getting older and more and more it feels like the whole world is 'burning'. When I see people simply 'being kind' it fills me with such joy that I feel a little foolish. Thanks for giving me a good bit of that and thanks, as always, for sharing your adventure...

I love seeing you spend this precious time with your mom. I'm 61 and last year I hiked the 100 Mile Wilderness in Maine with two of my children- it was a memory we will all cherish for the rest of our lives. You're doing it right, Linnea. I just put a deposit on a van last week, and I'm scared to death to build it out. What right do I have, at my age, to be building out a van? But then I watch you turn on those puck lights, and the feeling of accomplishment you had in that moment, and I know I can be brave too.

I love to see you and your mom together. I miss my mom terribly so it warms my ❤ to see the love you have for each other. It's amazing how we are all the same in basic ways. Our cultures may vary by location, but we can share so much of what's within us. 💕
i know you had a great meal. i was stationed in iceland for a year. one of the ladies who worked in our chow hall decided she needed to adopt me. i had so many fantastic meals at her house, it was wonderful. icelandic people aren't always the easiest to get to know but once they are your friend, they will be your friend for life.
If there was any doubt that Akela missed you, those howls when she saw you erased all of them!!! ❤️🐾
