I was 10 when "Reality...What a Concept!" came out, and had it memorized, even though at least half the jokes went over my head. A die-hard Mork & Mindy fan, I bought a poster of them, folded it into a manila envelope, and sent it off to Hollywood. After six months, I stopped watching the mailbox, shrugged and went on. Nearly two years later, I got the mail and saw a small, bulging envelope addressed from Hollywood. Inside was my poster, autographed by Robin & Pam, folded neatly. More than a two year backlog of fanmail, it's tough enough to estimate what that looks like, but they cared enough to answer it all. How can I not shed a few tears over the passing of someone with such a big heart? I miss you, brother. We all do.
Can't think of Robin Williams without feeling a little sad. He was here for a time, he made us laugh and feel good. He entertained us and made us forget about some of our problems however briefly. Then he made his exit, very unexpectedly and sadly so. He was called up to amuse and entertain those who have gone before us. We have the videos and memories of his time with us. Godspeed sir. Thank you
Robin Williams was a wonderful man, actor, comedian and crazy character. He is greatly missed. So many wonderful performers were gone much too soon and he was one of them. But we do have recordings like this to remember him by. May he Rest In Peace😔
I for one am glad she decided singing was better for her than teaching school. RIP Mr. Williams. I miss you so much. I have enjoyed the times I have met you in SF. Truly a great talent.
Great Robin improv. It brought a smile on my face. Hilariously out of this world on-the-spot jam. We lost another genius. Shoutout to you Robin, wherever you may be...
4 years gone by and I get goosebumps even today...Robin was one of those precious people we had only a few of. Like Lady Di, or Pavarotti, or Stephen Hawking...It makes me so sad watching the world today knowing those precious humans are gone forever and no new will be arise....
tears flowing, what a joyous performance; great artists; and the facial expressions on SC, esp. when RW said "downloading this as we speak" :D everyday is indeed a winding road...
I'm often traveling through Kennett. Though the sign reminds me always that it is your hometown, it will now forever remind me also of this video. This one, and the most sultry cover ever of Terence Trent D'arby's "Sign Your Name." Absolutely awesome! Sheryl, you rock!
Sheryl said "I've just had my mind blown. I'm gonna have Robin write my next album." Sounded to me like she enjoyed having Robin up there. Robin's Rap, tho.☺
WOW..just Wow, not only an excellent performance by Sheryl Crow and the band (seriously, that slide player rocks!, but then again they all do!) but to have Robin come on and improvise like that..why it's just mind blowing.
Flabbergasted. Robin had such a a deep repertoire that he often “just” riffed his old material. This was the best example I’ve ever seen that he was truly a genius. Not only that, but in between bouts of world class mental gymnastics , he was a consummate showman and gentleman. He clearly gave all deference to Crow. He kept this HER show 100%. A great great great man. Robin, Thank you for years and years of you.
That was the KING of Improv putting on a clinic! It breaks my heart that he couldn't find that 'Winding Road' to feeling fine. We Love You and MISS you, oh so bad, Robin Williams.
***** I loved Johnathan Winters, and yes, he did excel at Improv. But, he couldn't stretch out so far as to wind up miles away from where he started while still zooming along at break neck speed, like Robin (the KING) Williams could.
Bittersweet to see Robin Williams - a favorite for the audience and Cheryl, enjoying himself in the moment, and yet we belatedly learned he was suffering.
God oh God!You really took one of the best, but the idea of Robin getting so low,he didnt even realize he had the world. What a Comic, and no one new this better than you God.We all needed a Robin in the middle of this hell we created.None of us can actually say were perfect because no one is.l just wish someone could have stopped this great guy, before it was to late.God Bless You Robin,And May you be at the great side of God.
One of my favorite performances of Sheryl’s and to have Robin Williams as well its even better! Can’t believe it’s been 5 years since he’s passing miss him so much!
James Chant I don’t know if you know this but his brain was breaking down. :/ He was diagnosed with Lewy body dementia not long before he died. Robin had a very advanced fast moving form of dementia. He was having seizures quiet frequently before he passed away cause his dementia was taking over his brain soo bad . I don’t blame him just wanting the suffering to stop. Life is never guaranteed to hand you the best hand when it comes to health in your later years. I miss him :(
@@chrisj2431 According to Google Robin Williams and his wife, Susan Schneider, sought help from a variety of medical specialists but sadly there were no definitive answers. It was not until after Robin Williams died that an autopsy demonstrated advanced stages of a brain disease called Lewy Body Dementia (LBD). It's often misdiagnosed as Alzheimer's or Parkinson's disease due to its early similarity to those other neurodegenerative diseases.
I was never really impressed by Robin's improvs, but this is a tour de force of fun and cleverness and good cheer and talent. Looks like such a fun party
Robin Williams I grew up enjoying you comedy. You can bring smiles and laughter even in our loneliest days. I will miss you ........You are simply the best
John Belushi, Gilda Radner, Phil Hartman, Chris Farley. Many people in comedy came from a background filled with emotional pain. Not everyone, but many.
AWESOME!! Robin Williams will never be forgotten. I am so glad this was posted because it contains two of my favorites, Sheryl and Robin. RIP Robin. Keep on rocking Sheryl!
I hope clips like this bring smiles to Robin's family. One moment does not define a man, A lifetime does. Jesus loves us all...trust in the son... trust in the father... Peace Be With You
Damn.... I was okay until I started reading other people's comments. Now, I'm crying (really hard to type coherently when you can't see the keyboard!). I miss that man SO much! He was such an astounding talent. Someone down below me here mentioned how Robin did such a fine job of NOT hogging the spotlight. A consummate gentleman. The fact that Sheryl gave him the space without trying to garner that spot back for herself speaks volumes about her own integrity as a performer on her own. The only thing I felt short-handed on was that I was actually hoping to hear Robin actually sing. He is (excuse me...was) such an incredibly talented vocal performer in his own right that I was hoping to hear him show us what kind of chops he might have had. In any case...how can I bloody say this without sounding like a forlorn schoolgirl?...Robin...we miss you SO much!
To press Robin just a little further here.... I thought that he could have done just as fine a job (if not better) than Sean Penn in playing Harvey Milk. That would have been an amazing performance.
It's been so long since I'd seen this last. Thank you, Damian Farnsworth, for bringing this back to my life. Made me have to watch it again. Still...so hard to watch...and yet so beautiful. I feel now that I should have given some credit to the young man playing the slide guitar in this set. Beautifully done. Can't help but feel that this world has become a much sadder place since Robin left us. Lord Goddess...I wish I had known him on a personal basis. He would have made for an amazing friend. Could you imagine just hangin' out havin' a BBQ and beers with that man? Let's face it...the party would NOT be dull!
If you watch carefully you can tell that Robin did not "hog the mike" at all. He looked to Sheryl each and every time before he said anything and she winked or nodded or stepped back in order to let him know it was OK with her to continue. Robin was a consummate performer and any suggestion that he just "stole time" on the stage is ludicrous. RIP Robin.
Nights of night the future is now to me I walk the walk as this man one and thesame the brain to my girlfriend's we rock magic imagination of thy kingdom come fresh love this song proud Mary keep turning

Sheryl and the sound of slide guitar...priceless !
Very few people rap at a Sheryl Crow concert...but Robin Williams is throwin it down right now; oh yeah!
Throwin down what?
That's a direct quote from Robin Williams...watch the video....he's sayin he's throwin down rap....
"If every world leader would dance like Desmond, ain't gon be no problem" fock yeah well said Robin 🥰
Peter Stroud's slide guitar backing Robin is awesome!

I really miss seeing Robin here and there, on tv.
Robin was such and amazing being and performer, to die the way he did it seemed so unfair .. he deserved better... we miss you legend.
Joyous. What a special performance this was. Sheryl's face must have been aching, never seen her smile so much. And she smiles a lot!
2 masters of their craft, with both in their element, utterly respectful of each other.
