Honestly? If I'm getting the ability's description right, you could heal a whole Venusaur EX even if your Dusknoir was already at 10HP, because Dusknoir basically takes a hit equal to the damage dealt to the pokemon your chose. So... Dusknoir is incredibly OP as long as you are able to heal twice. You can heal 120 HP 1 time and then you could heal 1million damage if that was even possible
I have enough hourglasses that I can crack open 10 of each pack first thing in the morning tomorrow. After that, I'll open a Dialga in the morning and a Palkia at night, then I'll alternate between the two every time I have enough for 10 packs. I'll shift focus to one or the other if I want to build a specific meta deck, but as it stands right now, there's an equal number of cards I want from both packs.
Luxray and Darkrai are some of my favorite Pokémon from Gen 4 so definitely Dialga for sure. Lot of the cards in Palkia are looking good like Weavile and Garchomp, so I'll have to save up my pack points and wonder picks for them.
Ngl, I do find empoleon quite good as it is. Combined with Cyrus you can deal 110 damage to 2 pokemon and, in case he gets killed, it only gives 1 point while not needing that much water energy (and manaphy is pretty strong for easy energy)
Theoretically can take 3 crimson storms in a row from a Charizard, if you have a Shaymin, cloak, 2 potions, 2 blues, and a Dusknoir, but alas this is just a fun hypothetical
Yeah some of the non pokemon cards will almost require you to use pack points immediately or open both packs to try to get since communication, helmet, cape, and cyrus aren't all in one pack. One thing to note is dialga EX with dawn means you can go 2 energy attack into 4 energy attack. Luckily dawn and dialga are in the same pack.
I won a small tournament. There were 210 participants. I used an Aerodactyl, Marshadow, Hitmonlee, and Baby Pidgeot deck. I'm definitely gonna pick Dialga first.

Personally like when I played Diamond back in the day, Dialga has more of the cards I want. Palkia has some cool stuff as well, but I probably start ripping those when I get all the cards I want out of the Dialga pack

I actually do like Mismagius ex, as someone whose main deck right now is Hypno/Weezing/Pincurchin, I can take out the para line and add Mismagius for Confusion, and my Status Control deck could be slightly buffed with confusion as opposed to losing sleep with Paralysis...but we shall see

Dialga Ex pack is so much better. Dawn and Pokemon Communication as well as Cape are must have cards to get. You don't really need Cyrus if you can work with Sabrina and you won't need Mars as much as its just slightly better Red Card and those are hit and miss and you are usually better off using other cards in the limited deck slots. Rocky Helmet is nice but that's it. Unless you really want that Palkia EX, Garchomp or Porygon Z i would just start with Dialga EX pack as it opens up so many more potential decks its crazy.
There doesn't seem to be a garados or mew ex in this set. It feels like fighting and dialga and trainers are the only winners in this set. Maybe some electric but idk, Pikachu deck is very strong

dusknoir with the cape sounds like a good pair. gives dusk more hp for your active

It's all just a matter of being able to consistently evolve into dusknoir

I was thinking of this, but you should definately run 2 Cyrus'. Both these pokemon do bench damage so Cyrus is clutch
