And in addition to Aircalin, 15 A350-900s plus 5 A350-1000s. (with delivery dates that actually mean something). I've given up counting Airbus narrow body orders, the A320 family are more common than road buses...😀...
I just checked it on Great Circle Mapper, and NOU-CDG is 1300 km longer than SIN-JFK, the world's current longest nonstop flight. Even if the distance were the same, remember that Singapore Airlines had to order a special XLR version from Airbus, still fit it with fewer seats to reduce the weight, and make a huge investment in crew and airframe optimization. That's beyond the means of a small airline like Aircalin. It could fly to Paris with a refueling stop along the way, but then Aircalin's current A330s could do it as well.
@@goytabr Airbus is developing a A350 versione for Qantas's procect sunrise. May be some of the solutions can be adapted in tes new planes. And also Rolls Royce have made a new wersion of their A359 engine that burnes a little bit less fuel.
New widebody orders in the aviation press. Air China, 10 B777-9s, 4 B777-8Fs. Also 10 A350-1000s. Lufthansa, 5 A350-1000s and Swiss, 5 A350-900s. Initially I thought that the last two were the same order, but multiple sources maintain its 5 -900s and 5 -1000s. Let's hope so. A good end to the year.............
The regional airline of New Caledonia, France’s overseas territory off Oceania - right next door to Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu and Solomon Islands geographically speaking.
@thetruthbehindplanes United likes the 787 due to its range, passenger comfort, fuel efficiency and easy maintenance. Yes, they do have the A350 on order, but they don’t like Rolls Royce Engines.
It's quality over quantity in this case. You better make quality count if you order a small number of units where you'd absolutely wouldn't get the big discounts that airlines ordering 100+ units will get. So i totally get that they bought Airbus planes over Boeing, specially in the current aircraft safety climate that paints Boeing in a worse light than Airbus. Not saying Boeing is always bad, or that Airbus is always good, just saying that the current 'issues' with the Boeing Corp and their products would make me buy Airbus too.
Is Nick Oliver melting down? Air India and Indigo have over 150 units ordered, Korean Air has increased its order for A321neo, Cebu Pacific has 70 orders for A321neo, and Qatar has discarded the 737max10. 🤣
And we got 10 for 777X 4 for 777XF and 200 for 737 max 10

Thank you Dj!!
Great for them! Hope the new planes make the company successful!!!
I like their livery. It was nice of AB to donate 2 unsold planes to them 👏
Donate?
@ Yes as in giving away
Good On Air calin
Air Calan has come a long way since their Caravelle in the late 80s.
Wonder if we can have direct flights to Paris with their a350s, would be awesome

Be nice if they decide to fly to the U.S. like Los Angeles since we get alot of South Pacific airlines ftom that region.
I forgot Aircalin was a thing

And I bet they are better than Delta, United, American, and Spirit lol
2 aircraft order is exciting..ok...
Can't wait for his reaction to the China Airlines order, or the latest Pegasus order for up to 200 Max 10's !!!
you do realise there are ~200k people living in new caledonia right ?
Airbus🎉🎉🎉 is top dog new❤❤ and airlines see it
Sometimes, it's the little guys doing the little things that make the comparitively big news. Why? Because they are so much more important. 😅😊
only 2?compared to united's 787 order?
@AbdullahNajib-b9z and air India hss over 100+ orders on Ab?
