This saga teach me a lot back in days. Even nightmares aren't just nightmares. Silent Hill isn't what it seems, it's much more. A chance to overcome the rotten inside yoursels and free yourself. I love this saga so deeply.
"In my restless dream, I see that town, Silent Hill" now this is from Mary's letter but we know that the letter can't be existed. So, these words actually comes from James. Think about that.
(SPOILERS): My theory is: That the player first encounters James after he has already repressed the memory of killing Mary. The town manifests the letter, providing him with a reason to be there now that he has forgotten the truth. As James begins to confront reality toward the end of the game, the letter fades because it was never real-there was no letter, only the painful truth that he killed his wife. The manifested letter is only the "first" part of the real letter that Mary writes for James and gives to the nurse. This means that Silent hill creates a bait from Mary's real letter, to lure James in and discover the truth that he repressed.

i loved SH2 bak then i played it like 1000 times.... is my favorite SH game and one of my all time fav games... i enjoyed the remake they did good... im 'pleased... i still prefer the OG of course but the remake brought back those feelings
