What I don't understand is you you have to create a overlay
Then put the blur effect on the original video
But then bring the over lay video under the original and match them
Then go manually blur the overlay video.
Why is it when effort is applied to the original that's not enough?
Can you please explain why we need to do it this way?

They moved it again! Now under effects there is a search bar, type in Blur and you’ll see it.

Hmm maybe I can help. It sounds like you need to extend the length of your blur. With the blur layer selected, grab and drag layer handles to extend. Let me know and we’ll go from there.

For some reason I can’t find effects
Make sure the clip in un-selected
Is the brush tool only on the mobile app because I don't see it on the pc version. It is a great idea though.
I do the cutout let go of the screen but nothing happens what do i do?
I had that problem too…I gave up on brushing the object I wanted to be visible…instead, after I hit “cutout” I chose “remove background”…and yes, even though the results were indeed spotty, I still saved that video to my camera roll…then I took that video to CapCut, and “customized cutout” worked
Essentially, the background was blurred twice…most of it was blurred the first time…the rest of it was blurred on the 2nd edit…if that’s too much blur for you, fortunately you can choose how strong you want the blur to be…when you first select “blur” an option will appear that will say “adjust” and that’s where you can choose the strength of the blur

Capcut blur effect is just too complicated. They should copy blur effect from KINEMASTER, INSHOT or POWER DIRECTOR. all you have to do is select blur from effects and it appears as an overlay over the main clip with handles to adjust the size, width length and position. Capcut blur is too stressful

This is what am I looking for a kind of tutorial. Here on UA-cam platform everything is landscape so your videos shows a zoom on the item you would like to click that's a nice one
It's a great and clear explanation. And it's "post recording" so it's not going to compare to a vid filmed with short focal length. I'll be interested to hear you talk about apps for iphone 12pro that give genuine bokeh with short focal length via the LIDAR. Everyone talks about Focoslive but they got really expensive.

Select the clip you want to use as overlay, then scroll menu bar to find Overlay function and tap. This will move it the second layer.

It won’t work for me. And if I do the remove background option it removes everything except for the perosn in the background which I’m trying to remove…
You may need to try manually removing the background with the brush.

Make sure your overlay is on its own layer.
Also try pressing and holding the clip, then drag over.

Hi there. Chatting with you in another channels video just now. I actually came across this exact video yesterday while trying to find this option. It all looks the same up until the lens button, whee I don’t see an option for blur, nor a search bar.
What am I doing wrong?
There’s a button on the bottom left that allows to toggle between menus…that will enable you to get to the lens button

These affects aren’t on an iPhone
They’re in CapCut app which is free for iPhone
@@VideoZeus yes that’s what I meant. The affects on CapCut has affects but it doesn’t have those affects that you are showing. I think that’s only on a PC

Try using the brush effect like I do towards the end of the video. That way it will cut out exactly what you want.
