I'm new to the Hue/Saturation adjustment layers, so there is one thing that is confusing to me. When you first start working on the layer, the Reds are selected in the dropdown, but by the end of the video, the Yellows are selected. I didn't see you change from Reds to Yellows, so did I miss a step? I just tried it on a model who has some greenish tint in her skin in our shoots, and this worked wonders. Thanks!
Hi John! It changed later because we moved the range sliders. The new position corresponded more towards the "Yellows" than the "Reds." That's why it automatically changed. Sometimes Photoshop also creates additional options in the list like "Reds 2" or "Yellows 2" to accommodate for the custom range that you have targetted. This is normal.

I found this method of removing a color cast. Let me know how you think it works. 1. Duplicate the layer 2. Go to "Filter" -> Blur -> Average 3. You will now get a new layer 4. Invert this new layer 5. Change Blend mode to soft light ~~~~ That's it! The color cast is gone. Let me know if it works for you.

Why is it that your brush has an inner and an outer circle? I'm on Adobe Photoshop Version: 22.4.2 20210602.r.242 a4f6042 x64... And just can't seem tp change the cursor into one with an inner circle....

Does anyone know how to set specific outputs for black, gray, and white values so that when I drop an image in my template, regardless of the image's original state, there is a unifying consistency in the final output between the images? E.g. I want to create a newspaper print effect for several hundred images, but I will not be working on more than two images at a time so batch editing is out of the question. Sure, it's easy enough to just work in grayscale, but desaturating or grayscale doesn't create consistency. My goal is to make my template have a max black that is only so dark, a max white so images are only so bright, then create settings for mid-tones and contrast as well. I have made adjustment layers and it almost works, but those settings are applied from the image's original state rather than adjusting for a specific outcome. Great tut, but isn't it much easier to take a soft brush, select a correct skincolor and paint over the greenish areas in the 'color' modus. No need to fiddling all those sliders. Just my 50cts to speed up the workflow :-)

Haha, you're right! They are so tiny and challenging to get a hold of! I wish they were easier to fine-tune too.
