- A Peak District walk from Great Longstone, onto the Monsal trail, through Headstone tunnel, across Monsal Head viaduct, then down to Upperdale, up Hay Dale and onto Longstone Moor. Then along and down Longstone Edge to Hardrake Lane, where there were hundreds of butterflies. We saw red admiral, gatekeeper, comma, green-veined white, small white and meadow brown.
