Hey mate, can you post jimmy's fifer from this match.
Sorry no - what I have is very random!
@@kopii90bladeokay, np!
I remember Tony Currie, he was a super gifted player and he was thrilling to watch. ⚽
Got any highlights or live Channel 4, BBC & Sky Sports footage from the '99 Cricket World Cup, '99 England vs. New Zealand test series, & the '01 Ashes? Loving these videos, thank you.
I'm mid 2000s on the DVDs now, so probably not
@@kopii90bladealright mate, thanks a lot for these videos, especially the County Cricket ones. Just wondering if you have any of Strauss' debut test at Lord's 2004 btw? Or perhaps any of 2002, 2006 and 2007 internationals? Cheers again anyway.
Classic away kit😊😊awesome rip kevin 🙏 legend great man.😊
I know you mentioned elsewhere that you have no further yorks games apart from ones already uploaded. You definitely then don’t have the natwest 85 match v somerset that this recording was filling in for because of the weather? Just on the off-chance you might do.
I'm afraid not. I always wondered how I recorded this in 1982 when I didn't have a video recorder then. That explains it!
No worries, at least I know now that this game was broadcast. The archive radio times listings don't state this on that day. The only other unknown factor is if the BBC covered the reserve day, to include richards match winning innings. They certainly did this in the semis of the natwest and b&h, even if it went to a third day. The early rounds, not so sure.
this was one of the most exciting games i've ever watched live
Wonderful song, great performance, thanks!
There's only one TONY CURRY
Ah yes, I remember it well, in front of the Cowshed at the old Leeds Rd. I'd just walked in late after catching the boneshaker from Midland Station. Top finish from one of our great underrated centre forwards - quicker than lightening, Saxaphone blowing Tony Agana. Another signing from the one time Blades transfer treasure chest Watford FC. A mere make weight in the deal that brought Peter Hetherington (file him with Willie Falconer & Paul Holland in the Dave Bassett blink & you missed him section) to the Lane for £110,000 but nothing remotely light weight about TA. During the two back to back promotion seasons, 1988-1990 TA was truly outstanding partnering Brian Deane (another story) & with a 1in3 goal ratio across almost 120 games in red n white. A personal favourite was him outpacing Oldham's Earl Barrett, who later would play on loan for the Blades & was no slouch, twice at the Lane & drilling both into the Bramall Lane end goal. If you see Tony give him a friendly "Up the Blades Tony" & you'll receive that sweet smile that shone regular out of pages of the Star & Green'un during a relatively brief but truly exceptional Blades career.
Well said, brilliant!
The legend Keith Edwards 👏👏😎⚔️
Thanks for sharing. Do you have BBC highlights from the 1984 SF between the same two teams? There's bits and pieces of ball by ball on youtube but not highlights similar to this?
Sorry, no. My 'collection' is very limited! I was at both the 1982 and 1984 games, and was disappointed both times!
Thanks very much for uploading. I love watching county games from this time.
Billy Tightshirt strikes again & scores a goal too. On our way to a second promotion in two seasons. Up the Blades!
I remember watching this match. First time I've seen it since. Frightening how long ago it was!! Thank you so much for puting it on here. I had a lot of matches from this time period and unforunately they were misplaced so it's always so good to see them again. I presume it's just Yorkshire matches you have? Thanks once again for uploading.
I have a few England highlights too but most of them seem to be on UA-cam already. I have the Yorkshire v Northamptonshire 1987 final highlights but that's already on UA-cam too. I've only just started checking what I have on DVD (transferred from VHS many years ago), so we'll see what else is there!
Graham, misplaced or lost for good? Always interested to know what is still available. Fine to exchange too.
Great upload! This is my favourite era of county cricket 80s and 90s. I really enjoy the B&H Cup and Natwest Trophy Highlights. If you have any more to upload then that would be fantastic. I'm happy to exchange some matches if that would be of any interest to you?
I'm not quite sure what I've got yet! I've only just started going through my DVDs (transferred from VHS years ago) but I don't think I've got anything more from 1980s. Maybe I have some more from the 1990s.
I posted this one as well the other day ua-cam.com/video/_w7k99mNHHM/v-deo.html and I've just remembered I have the Warwickshire v Yorkshire 1982 NatWest semi-final, which I haven't posted yet.
@@kopii90blade Thanks very much for replying. Its much appreciated. Any county cricket coverage you did upload would be very welcome.
Mark, have you got much county cricket from the 80s or 90s in your own collection? Could be interested in an exchange, but would need an idea of what you have.
@@Mark-lm5xwhello Mark, I have quite a few old county matches in my collection from not only the 80s and 90s but also even a couple from the 70s. This is a link to a small part of one (whole match highlights are over an hour) from my channel, please do let me know if you're interested in swapping anything? Cheers. ua-cam.com/video/psdL2-K6zkE/v-deo.htmlsi=_JxZaVkDdPc5uG1F
Bill Parcells is the greatest NFL coach of all time. Not Belichick. I'll argue that with any fan.
Remember one of Bill Parcells daughters hit a Washington fan on his head after the Giants game against the Skins in DC that season.
Happy days
WHO?? SORRY I DON'T KNOW WHO MAYER KAHANE WAS. CAN YOU FILL ME IN ON THE DETAILS PLEASE!!
That opening game. Was the 49ers first road loss. Since November of 88!
Still no videos of Billy Whitehurst playing on the internet. Sad.
Ahh yes,the classic NFL ON NBC theme song

By far the greatest Giant team.
I miss the NFL 00s
He would be a Super Hero these days, Great Giant
Tony agana works in my school as a teaching assistant, he’s very talkative and friendly to everyone, what a legend
Does he still play the saxophone?
whats the first song she is playing?
I don't know ... I've always wondered too.
This game was played on the night that Mayer Kahane , the JDL leader, was shot to death in a New York hotel.

Another thrilling game 2023/12/26 but this time Sheffield United lost and this 1990 game was last boxing game win. In top flight football 🙂
As an Eagles fan I absolutely hate the Giants.... but I respect them. Love the rivalry.
Best and favourite player at Chester under Ken Roberts. Incredible speed and an eye for goal darting around in his sky blue kit bearing his red number 7.
Grrr, didn't know they were touring with this album :(... They are one of those accidental bands that I discovered randomly in a small venue without knowing anything about them or hearing a single song. Went to one gig in 2006 in Aberdeen, Scotland and fell in love. One of my favourite albums. Please, make more music, Howling Bells <3

Even as a Owl, have to say Currie was a class player back in the day. Respect where it's due. 👍
3:19 "Good habits", very much a Brian Clough phrase.

This is a Great Video, Im so surprised that it doesn't have more views. Nobody else has a video like this out there. Great Job !! Whoever you are I
Thank you! I'm a UK-based Giants fan, since 1984. I used to tape all the highlights from British TV, then over the years I transferred them first to DVD and then to mp4.
Currie Was A Wizard ! I'm A Spurs Supporter ...BUT THIS MAN WAS A GENIUS !
It’s Sheffield United not Sheffield.
