Parry master doesn’t make you have a larger parry window or make you better at parrying
It gives you *stamina* every time you parry which is increased when you upgrade the tiers of it

Summon thorns is really powerful. I know because i was beating an enemy with my lvl 7 acid edge and wearing the full sleek red stategis set. It spawned the ant right in front of me and i killed myself in 2 max speed swings. And that was on mild mode...
Id say at ng4 U should always have at least one piece for a optimal build
I tried this out on Mantis but he never attacks my summons, only stays focused on me. Any tips please?
One tip for you sim instead of using the whittle widdowling trinket try to get a cone or something else that has Summon thorns so you have even more thorns damage
maybe i'm missing something but... stuff is gonna focus you if you're up in melee over your summons so its rare that the proposed damage is gonna proc. right? if i'm wrong, someone explain what i'm not taking into account please
Eventually ur summons will take aggro so when that happens you go behind and start attacking I believe
Would the brood mother charm be good bcs and ads summon poison and summon dmg
No because the summon damage doesn't matter but the amount of summons and thorns damage does matter

I befriended it before so I can’t get it until next ng+
yeah reckon same build but switch meat shield with apex pred and just sit back, if anything aggressive to you, RUN, but try n get shots, soon as its distracted just keep shooting :) dunno if ranged damage applies thorns to yourself, I would guess not but not gonna say for certain
you literally use almost everything the same. make sure you have Apex Predator, and don't shoot your summons lol

Has anyone tempted to do a standard throns build with heavy armor and javelineer? Im curious if it can hold up at all.
yeah... tried that against the mant in ng+ and since everything explodes left and right, you never survive long enough to make this work. Tried the Broodmother, killed her 3 times in 8 tries with this build while my normal build killed her 3 times in 3 tries. It might work but i don't like it much. Gonna try wasp Queen next, she and her minions flies, your summons don't. I expect it will go badly for me.
I think it works better the more into NGP you get. I mean, one guy had the infected broodmother two-shot herself in each phase. Put the mant mutation along with the whittle widowling trinket, and your opponent is gonna be standing on a minefield.
This is better for ng+3 or 4 since they do more damage
Summon Thorns seems to do more damage to me than it does to the enemy, and that's with the Battle Buddies mutation on lol. If I hit one of my ants I lose over half my health.
Why not use the bards bow? A additional Summon(with apex) and the safety of range. Also decreasing your own agro so there more likely to attack your pets

no, but the build gets stronger the further into new game plus cause its directly proportional to how much damage the enemies do, so the build is OK in base game, and gets better and better the further into new game plus you get, whereas every other build gets weaker and weaker

I heard it work at ng+4 and more, before that the damage isn’t that impressive
It works on NG+2, but you have to stay on mild/medium THEN wsitch to whoa! Mode when a mant or more have spawned

Or really strong things but it ruins the game if you cheese everything
So I suggest to fight the boss normally then if you need to kill a boss abunch then use it
