Thank you so much for the nice video clips of that turning tube that sends surfers left or right, choose your poison!
Those surfers are just great! Brave young men!
Also, thank you for not cluttering it with lousy music. It’s a good choice. White one person likes, 20 people don’t like when it comes to music, especially The new stuff that is not time tested.

I don’t think it was possible on that wave, some of those waves brake way to fast to ride them that long. From watching a lot of documentaries most of the time they watch the brake for a few sets to see how the waves are braking. Also they are looking for the right wave. Some of the waves these guys set down on are bad. 6:50 that was the perfect wave

There's something about watching or surfing a huge sand bottom beach break that I find far more terrifying than any Mavericks or Jaws vid. The rides really start gettin good at 10:00 also notice how many guys are straightening off, they don't want anything to do with that paddle back out! One of the most powerfull big wave surf vids on UA-cam! Kudos to every man out!

whoa puerto escondido!: always a dangerous spot because of the wicked undertow, which is infamous amongst west coast beaches in mexico, but with waves this large, thick, and fast, this is way more dangerous than the huge slow lumbering waves available elsewhere, as evidenced by the broken boards...and so great to hear the waves instead of 3rd rate soundtrack!

I was there the week before. The anual contest was held on Monday July 15. By Thursday I was able to bodysurf. This must have been the follwing week since a large swell was forecast again. Amazing.

Ha ha, me too. First wave I rode there was about waist high. I fell and the wave picked me back up and slammed me into the sand. Right then I knew all the rumors about the place were true. Biggest day I went out was probably 10ft and it was fuckin scary.

Coinraker Lol!!! First day I arrived...first two people I met were two twin brothers selling tourist packages (dune buggies, parasailing etc.)...both broke their backs there and could not surf anymore. Broken vertebrae...place is HEAVY!!!

@Antonio Romao, is that your standard response to anybody talking about getting worked in heavy waves? Yes we've all seen the footage of the best big wave surfers in the world getting towed into the biggest waves ever ridden. Stupid ass comment by you.

Been there, done that, broke boards, saw a few hammerhead sharks just outside of the lineup, got the shit beaten out of me from these super powerful waves - just look at high the white bounces when the lip hits 😳.

    • @jasonjackson5696

Red Pill Pharmacy - dude, that place breaks hard as hell. It’s a lot of fun when it’s 6-8’, stand up barrels & even then it’ll bounce you off of the sand bottom pretty good.
I was really lucky to get it well before it got on the map. People knew about it but the crowd was very small. Also, there’s a fun left point about a 20 minute walk south.
I took the public transport bus from Puerto Escondido to (la ciudad de) Oaxaca & that was a total nightmare - a washboard dirt road that snaked thru the mountains with chickens & pigs along for the ride. Left an indelible memory & my shit on the bus seat😂😂
Yes, the good old days ....
