I'm a home baker nd this is what i think about ur recipe: •The texture was either due to adding too much baking soda or (what i think could b the main reason) adding too much matcha powder without esp without dissolving it 1st •u need to more sugar nd beat the sugar nd eggs 1st till increased in size nd fluffy for softer, nd fluffier cupcakes then add the oil. •if u r new to matcha u should have added way less cause a little goes a long way almost like coffee nd u shouldve dissolved it 1st in milk then added it into the batter nd ifnthe batter becomes too thin cause of it u can add more flour but the calculation u did with the flour was correct •in cakes always add less baking soda than baking powder i.e 1tsp for baking powder to half tsp of baking soda. •the icing is liquidy cause its just milk nd sugar...next time try making a buttercream with butter nd sugar or a gamache type frosting with chocolate nd whipping cream as they have a much thicker texture or even if u simply make whipped cream nd flavor it then it would also retain its shape instead of this sugar nd milk icing
nah thats cause you added waaay to little sugar ( i might br biased since i do enjoy matcha) the amount of sugar compared to the eggs and flour is too little also the texture was due to you adding waaay too much baking soda and baking powder atleast that’s what i think i am not a baker so gotta leave it to the professionals
