We're been lucky enough to partner up with Center Parcs for this vlog - they've gifted us a stay at Center Parcs Sherwood Forest, and we've never been to Center Parcs before so we're super excited! We kick things off by showing off the enormous car we've hired to get us there, and after a few hiccups on the journey we finally arrived in time for a BBQ and a few games of pool in our Executive Lodge Games Room! Oh, and Kev bought an Apple Watch Series 5, so Anna isn't talking to him...

ABOUT THE CHAPMAN FAMILY
Hello folks and welcome to The Chapman Family! We are Kevin (dad), Anna (mum), Lucy (age 17), Andy (age 15), Amy (age 13) and Dave (around 35 in dog years).
We're daily family vloggers with new videos out at 5pm every day UK time. We vlog about our daily lives, including life as an autism family (Andy is autistic) and lots of nerdy stuff because we just can't help ourselves!

A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE CHAPMAN FAMILY
When Kevin left his full-time job as a Computer Science teacher in July 2017, Anna was trapped in our house by our son Andy, who is autistic and had refused to go to school for 18 months. Our daughters Lucy and Amy and our dog Dave hardly saw him because he was always working to try and solve all our problems! Today we're full-time content creators and Kevin is always at home when the kids get home from school (all our kids!) and Anna has been able to return to university. This channel is the story of my family's ongoing journey as family vloggers! Previously known as lollujo Vlogs and Kevin Chapman.

Watching Kevin and Anna run around just as excited as the kids is priceless. I watch this video when it came out of course, and I don’t know why I wanted to watch it again but I don’t think I noticed how cute they were. After Kevin says he’s going to edit on the balcony he giggles like a kid you can hear it in his voice! Anna is smiling ear to ear. Every time the camera catches her she’s got the biggest grin on her face as they’re all running through the house! These are the times those kids are going to remember. Some of my best memories of when I wasA child as well as when I was 18 was taking family trips like this. Love from the US
Thank you SO SO much for going into the forest. My ancestral line on my mother's side goes directly back to the literal Sherwoods of the same name in Nottingham, in early England. Mom was a Sherwood. I'm very proud of the name, and it's SO wonderful to see how lovely it still is.
Yes, I know mostly this vid was the interior of your lodge, but I caught a little glimpse of the trees. lol

Center Parcs is the best! When I went in 2019 for my birthday, my dad made a mistake and got us one of the Lodges with saunas in them... Bliss!
wonderful you can make memories as a family. I know my 3 older brothers struggled to understand my Autism(Aspergers) growing up and lead to arguments. We're much closer now.

Looks awesome, what kind of chalet was it? I've heard centre parcs is quite expensive to eat and socialize in, but have always wanted to go there, especially since they've just opened a new park here in Ireland. Definitely looks like our kind of place though.

I'm wondering why you guys have a patron when you can afford so much? A £250 video game vault, a new Apple watch, hiring mini vans and going on gifted holidays, all in one week. I was thinking about supporting it when you said that you had quit your job and needed the income and have sent PO box wish list items a few times in the past but now you guys splash out and own things I couldn't even afford. Seems strange to support a lifestyle for people that the majority can't afford ourselves. :(
You’ve taken one week that just happens to have a lot of stuff in it that’s been planned out, budgeted for and saved for for months. Feel free to pick just about any other random week, and you’ll see us spend almost nothing. Add up our total spending for the year, and it’s still much lower than it was before I left my job. Plus of course, we closed the PO Box exactly because we felt we didn’t need people to send us things anymore.
The chap fam aren't forcing you to support them on patreon so if people wish to pay then thats their choice. Secondly if you pay for anything like sky or netflix you are supporting countless millonaires on these god awful reality shows ect ect. Coming from a positive place and if you are still bothered stop watching sky and watch the chap fam for free on youtube 👍
@@kevinchapmanvlog it's easy to see where she's coming from though and how people can get the wrong idea.. I've watched this Chanel for years and see it for what it is which is a genuine family doing great things and also been good parents to an autistic child , however in the past few months we've seen you go to Disney world , Belgium , and this place .. having said that life is for living and I'm 100% for living life and doing things like this rather than working the grind and never seeing your children .. I'm probably slightly jealous if I'm honest as a dad of 3 autistic children who hasn't so much as had a baby sitter in the past seven years .. still I like the Chapman family and I really appreciate the advice I've learnt from them :)
I have followed keV since.less then 8k subs , I currently have 216, i have never had a patreon etc but then I didn't give up my job and I don't make income on my vlogs just awareness for my Autistic twins , I think keV hasen't taken offence he just budgets well being a former financial consultant he's obviously good with numbers , feel free anyone to sub to my channel , and the @the Chapman Family have a great weekend
Loading gamez I’m not denying it’s been a good few months, but then on the flip side, the Disneyland trip was for 3 nights and was the first time Andy had ever left the country. He’s 15. It’s not like we’re constantly on expensive holidays, and we saved up for that trip for over a year. Belgium cost us £7 and was again only a couple of nights, and this trip is gifted, and again only a couple of nights. So we’ve totalled 7 nights “on holiday” on those trips, and spent less than £2000 total for a family of 5. I would suggest a weeks holiday at £400 per person is fairly typical, if not below average for most holidays. Per year. And we’ve don’t it once in 8 years!
