I’ve been buying my art supplies from Temu. They work good and I haven’t had any problems.
That's good to hear! So far, I haven't had any problems either :)
the baohong paper is on my list of paper to buy/try as soon as i run out of watercolour paper
ive bought a lot of shimmery paint off of aliexspress, really want more 😝
There's really a LOT of shimmery paints on AliExpress and Temu XD
the sketchbooks and those brushes look fantastic! do let us know how you get on with them 🥰
Will do!! I have a lot of things to try out but I'll get to these at some point XD
Nice. Are you going to make a video swatching and trying out all of these new art supplies?
I plan to! I want to go through all the things from my two recent Temu hauls, in multiple videos :)
That green mixed media sketchbook and the swing/rotate palette looked really cool! I'd be interested to see how those faux Neocolor II perform.
Noted, thank you! The faux Neocolor II are really intriguing, I'm eager to try them out XD
Temu is my go to for watercolor paper and watercolor palettes. The prices are most of the time more than half the usual price 👍
Yes! For the exact same items (like the Baohong paper), the prices are so much better on Temu.
Thanks for good information. I am interested in your opinion about your experiences with water soluble pastel and the Meiliang solid water colour pigments, which you can find as well by Temu Sortiments.
Don't buy the water-soluble crayons. They don't dissolve.
I have not been impressed with Temus art supply listings. But I noticed you receiced a lot of negative comments and want encourage you to continue making videos you enjoy and enjoy the opportunities that come to you.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!
I wish your experience using Temu would've been better. What items did you try, if you don't mind me asking? (Just so I stay clear of those!) :)
@@EveBolt I haven't tried any. I just like to browse. I feel aliexpress has a larger range of art supplies.
I am a very regular Temu customer and I find using the coupons just too confusing. But I am a monthly customer.
The prices even without using coupons are often really good. They are better on Temu than other platforms for exactly the same thing, and Temu almost always has free shipping :)
So much goodies 😊❤
Yes! I'm excited! :D
Hi eve how did you get all those items for only a $1 ! usually the baohong pad Is more like $19 and the semi art book is around $16 :)
Hi! :) The 90% off coupon is really nice, too bad it's only for first-time customers...
@@EveBolt Ohhhh okay! that makes sense!! ahh so luckkyyy!!! xox
Temu Ocean colour glittery water colour pigments are a kind of muted colour, which I like very much. You ever worked with them.
I don't think I have! But they sound fun, I'll have to see if I can find them :) Thank you!
thanks for you advises...
but it would be more usefull if you show us how they behave in practice
I plan to do that in future videos :)
@@EveBolt great, i will see that and i subscribe.
FYI, Temu is well known to steal info/be vulnerable to credit card info nd a lot of people who have used them have had identity theft issues immediately following. Additionally, there are well documented concerns that they use slave labor. when something seems like too good of a bargain, there's ususally a reason
I've heard these points before. If possible, going through a platform like PayPal, Sezzle, Klarna, etc might provide an additional layer of safety (?). Also, regarding slave labor, what really bothers me is that the exact same items are available on other selling platforms but at a much higher price. Paying more for an item doesn't necessarily have an impact on how the item was made. And I totally understand if people want to avoid those platforms altogether.
Personally, I try to go for things that are not intended for single use, or that seem decently made. No electronics (as laws are different re: safety). No clothes. But yeah, like I said, it's fine if you prefer to avoid it completely :)
Eve please research Temu, it is an extremely harmful company in so many ways, beginning with just ordering from China. There is so much information out there, I am surprised you haven’t heard of the harm that company does. I’ll provide a couple links if you can’t bring yourself to look.
Where are the links?
Where are the links?
She needs to make $ from her unboxing video. The fact that a foreign company is pushing our locals out of business is not her concern.
@@justtubingby129 Sadly that's just the tip of the iceberg, actually the harm done by Temu is much greater than that.
@@pennycandyys They call it the silent invasion but ignorant people have no clue.
Temu can be highly questionable when it comes to ethics and the quality of their items. They’re also known for leaking data through their app.
I can understand that cheap things seem enticing and in this economy it’s not surprising it’s taken off. I’m also not judging you or most people who buy from there. I have done so myself in the past and some things have been fine.
However, a lot of it was also really terrible quality. It’s a gamble and after doing more research I swore off buying from them for good.
I’m not saying you should stop however, be very cautious and do some digging before buying from there. Baohong paper for example is fine and well renowned for its quality.
However, huge sets of unbranded alcohol based markers / paints etc should immediately draw suspicion. There is no information on key things like lightfastedness and what’s actually in the pigments.
If you can it’s best to buy from reliable retailers from brands that meet the required safety standards. There are plenty of more budget friendly options out there these days such as Arteza and Ohuhu.
Not saying people have to go and buy copic or schminke etc: just to be mindful of what is on Temu and be sure to compare and check each listing thoroughly. Sometimes Amazon sells identical things too.
I completely agree with you. I did a fair bit of digging and there are things I wouldn't get from Temu (or AliExpress, or Amazon resellers, etc) like any electronics. No cosmetics, no clothing, no skincare. These are all things I'm picky with regardless of where I buy them from. Like you said, the key is to be mindful and cautious :)
