Goes to show how associative/ personalized musical taste can be. No one is the same.
That gives me a new respect and love for Zakk knowing he holds Elton John's Greatest hits and Captain Fantastic albums in such high regard. Those albums were giving to me when I was kid of 7 or 8 years old. Actually it was the cassette tapes but I love those albums equally....and wore those tapes out!! Just perfect music!!
Awesome!!
The Writ, one of Ozzy's finest moments. He wrote it and boy did he sing it!
Was going to make the same comment . Has to be the most underrated Sabbath song .
Elton John was a music influence to so many Hard Rock and Metal musicians.
Dream Theater cover Funeral for a friend. Flotsam & jetsom do Saturday nights alright for fighting. Zakk does a version of Candle in the wind.
Great list and he’s 100% right about Sabotage. It’s one of Ozzy’s best. Check out his performance on Megalomania if you’ve never heard it.
I agree with Zakk, these are solid albums. I really love Frank Marino's Mahogany Rush Live. One of the best live albums ever. I still listen to it regularly. Frank is not only one of the best guitarists ever but a superb singer and songwriter. And his band is always great.
Zakk is like if Jimmie Page, Elton John, and Thor merged into one person.
HA > Thor!!! I remember him w/2 dogs on album cover...Jeez?
Jimmy
...as well as a dash of The Punisher!!! Zakk is awesomeness personified!
Except unlike Page, he hasn’t STOLEN his hits….
Mahogany Rush 🔥
Yes!! Frank Marino and the Mahogany Rush Live! That would be on my list too.
There are sooooo many who DON'T know who that is...their loss!
I guess I have some homework. I have heard of Frank and Mahogany Rush, but not the live album.
Frank Marino is a criminally underrated guitarist and also a criminally underrated vocalist.
Hell yeah.... Elton's greatest hits, in a big way, got me on the road to Rock n' Roll also! "Break a leg" with the new project Zakk!
Great selection Zack. Its interesting that as a musician, you mostly play one type of music, but you're influenced by other genre's.
So cool
Indeed aside from Sabbath I don't hear any influence of those bands/albums in his music.
You will that common thread amongst great musicians… they’re open-minded and eclectic far beyond most of their audiences parameters of listening choices.
not long ago i happened to download that FRANK MARINO AND MAHOGANY RUSH LIVE ! listened to that back in high school ! thats so cool ZAC and also saying HI !
Zakk Wylde is DEAD ON about Ozzy's vocals on Sabotage.
100 percent agree....similarly Lemmy never sounded better than the Ace of Spades album
@@scottlosey4978 lemmy was a B leaguer though
Zakk, has great taste, very knowledgeable and very respectful of the forefathers of rock. I love the latest BLS: Doom Crew Inc., killer album, Ruins one my favorites, loaded with face melting guitar solos.
Love having Elton on there. Madman is for sure a strander for me. Wow, Frank Marino? Thought only us Canucks really got that guy. Sweet.
Diary of a MAdman is arguably the greatest album ever written.
Elton is there too
Grew up with his music
Captain Fantastic👍
Believe it or not Frank Marino is huge down here in the south (Texas) as well. I grew up on that album being raised in a Country and Western environment. Fortunately I had Uncles that were the exact oposite of Country! To this day Marino is one of my favorite gutarist of all time!
@@AtomicPunx
I agree
Marino n Mahogany Rush
Super Talents
kiwi here..loved Frank for 40 yrs cheers.
Good Choices! Some of those are mine too, like Frank Marino Live.
Good taste, especially Frank Marino. So underrated, and just a beast on guitar. Zac is a supernatural beast. Good pics.
That would be cool to hear Zakk play Crocodile Rock.
I bought Doom Crew Inc. on vinyl (of course)...pure white...beautiful and, also of course, AMAZING music.
Lord Zakk's picks is way cool 🤘🏿😎 and The stories associated with them.Sabatoge and Zeppelin is in my playlist already, now I'm gonna seek Those other jams Getcha Pull 🥃-CHEERS 🍻
Yeah the Frank Marino album is a classic man I think he hadn’t been out of prison that long and he just nailed it Great album
I'm going with Zakk; glad he insisted Sabotage was definitely a Sabbath classic.
Zakk is the most confident guitarist/vocalist I’ve ever watched. He plays fearlessly and aggressive as all hell. 🤘😝🤘
Check out Elton John's Central Park concert. Glad I was a fan in the 70's till now. Zach has great taste
Zakk is so gregarious and fun to listen to
I won't be happy until the album of Polka covers , what's up zakk , you said you were gonna do it.... waiting!
Kiss Alive for my desert island album
His picks surprised me.
3:32 Thats the live album, Zakk was talking about the studio album Song Remains the Same.
No such album.
Yacht Rock essentials? Absolutely!
The Frank Marino caught my attention. Extremely underrated artist from Canada.
For me I'd have to take 10.

Before Zakk named any albums I had him picking Physical Graffiti.. Can't go wrong with Song Remains The Same, though.
Good to see Ya Zakk
I'd agree with Sabotage
Some of the greatest music I've ever heard
Like my blues music

Sabotagae is my favorite too probably.
Zakk Wylde music it's a only music that I like.God bless him.
Love yacht rock hits
Sabotage is my favorite album
Zak rules!! Does Katie really read these emails?
Mahogany Rush! yeah!
Sabatage is my favorite sabbath album. Underrated.
great album but how he left off Diary of a madman is tragic
Awesome
Thanks for Zakk sending sone new but undiscovered Rock my way. Marino is the foundation of Prince and SRV. If you check out the attention to Dragonfly and arrangements it’s a superior musical mind set free.
The Answer...Strange Dreams is definitely his best, shame he had to retire.
I know for a fact that Book of shadows from zakk would be in my top 5.
Allman brothers live at the Fillmore
Two thumbs up for Sabotage and Mahogany Rush Live. I bought each one when they first came out. Surprised that Zakk lead with Yacht Rock (yuck)!
Love you
Its funny, me and a lot of other metal head friends of mine love Yacht Rock.
Hi Axes tv
Wise choices. Also I think if Bob Odenkirk grew that same beard same exact guy.
My list has not changed in many years.
1. Return To Forever Romantic Warrior
2. Rush Hemispheres
3. Down NOLA
4. Sabbath Master Of Reality
5. Soundgarden Badmotorfinger
Although I love the Mahogany Rush Live pick. I don't consider live, greatest hits or comp albums "studio albums". Otherwise Ild just pick the K-Tell comp albums "best of" every decade...
my fav, not albums but band time periods.
pantera - 90's and 2000
ozzy - 1980-1992
metallica - 1984-1992
slipknot 1999-2004
exhorder - 1990-92
van halen until 1993
sabbath 1970-1985 (and the 2013 album too is real nice)
i could go on, you get the idea....
Is it desert island or Deserted island?
Hey Zakk why not get some friends together and do a tribute to Frank Marino !
Sabotage is one of the best Sabbaths albums!
Mahogany Rush 4 shure
1983 in Paris...I was here, fantastique !
🤘🙃
Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon
Ni Quarter is incredible
Anything Metal, Dead, =VH=, and 70s!!!!
HI MAN.....HIGHHHHHHH!!!
Five?
Ted Nugent - Double Live Gonzo
Thelonious Monk Plays Duke Ellington
Pat Metheny - Bright Size LIfe
Alan Holdsworth - I.O.U.
Rush - A Farewell to Kings.
Those albums made my brain grow and taught me that being yourself was the best way to be.
pat metheny and allan holdsworth. Nice bro, nice.
🥰😘
Hi, man.
Zakk, it’s ‘Albums’ not greatest hits 🤣
Love Zakk 👏👏👏🤘🎸
I would assume the question meant studio albums
I've never gotten Ozzy-Sabbath and I never will. Much prefer Dio-Sabbath. Anyway, I thought he'd take one of the DLR-era VH albums along.
Frank Marino...best cover of JBG ever!
He's certainly correct about Sabotage. Easily Sabbaths best.
Zakk KICKS ASS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mine is
1. Van Halen Best of Volume 1
2. Elton John GH
3. Frank Sinatra Greatest Hits
4. Elvis Greatest Hits
5. Led Zeppelin BBC sessions
led zeppelin "bbc sessions?" shouldn't that be bwc sessions...
Disappointed he didn't have ABBA Gold on there. Maybe if it were a top 10.
Easy way out.
No classic Van Halen goofball?!
no blizzard of ozz albums?
MAHOGANY RUSH LIVE ....FUCKING EH !!!!
Here's my list and I've gone with live albums.
Live at leeds by The Who
Band of Gypsys by Jimi Hendrix
Tribute by Ozzy Osbourne
Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush live 1978 by Mahogany Rush
Made in Japan by Deep Purple
😎❤️🔥🤘😃🎸
SABOTAGE.....FUCKING EH !!!
How did he not choose Blizzard of ozz or Diary of a Madman....tragic. Diary is arguably the greatest album ever written\
Cause he chose his favorites. Not yours.
@@AarosConcerts but he needs to choose better my answers are better
@@Dave_Wight_The_Rock_Oracle your answers suck imo. Nobody cares what you think
Zakk is a Randy Rhoads freak! He idolizes him.
@@demigod1013 he signed my Diary shirt: St. Rhoads is the G.O,A.T.
The brits are the best
The only interview I’ve heard from Zakk where he’s not trying to be funny and saying stupid shit.
Of course I typed this before I heard the very end.
The name of the Led Zeppelin album with the song remains the same, would be Houses of the holy. Y'all need to do some fact checking 😂
Stranded? Yea, you stranded us in Tyler Texas on 9/04 Zakk
Show was already rescheduled, and y’all refused to play 2 hours before showtime. Most people drove 3-5 hours and had hotels.
Lost a lot of respect. You’re not who I thought you were, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels that way.
Hi lol
hi handsome
You are just devine.
He really is.
still think you're beautiful
none of your albums !?!?!? :-)
None of Pantera 😮
Groom the beard, take a shower and wash the hair from wearing that nasty winter hat all the time
Does anyone really care what albums Zac Wild likes? Really?
Ya some of us do!
people like to see what other musicians enjoy or listen to, they do this for a living.
Yacht Rock is horrible, Elton John is horrible and Zakk is just wakk...............
The whole southern biker gimmick is so lame. Dudes from the jersey shore
Yea - And his 'accent' is annoying
I was surprised to just now hear his accent.
@@jismism9515 He's from Jersey that's how we talk I'm from Philly you live under a rock?
@@kenwolf6334Yea - that's how u talk; I live in NYC...
Awesome
