These are the REAL people that keep American running ! Love people that love their job no matter what they are doing they do it to the best of their ability. FIRST CLASS.
I'm always weary of nobody's online who designate who "true or real" Americans or people are because many times a lot of ethno centric nationalism is behind it rather than any real pride or admiration for the work itself. Loads of "real" people make the country go round so not sure what you deem as real but I'd guess you have some sort of political negative view of the state of our country, which everyone has a right to have, to the point where you separate "real" from what exactly?
Been trying to get into this. Went to a good driving school with over 280 hours, CDL A with no automatic restriction, tanker endorsement, and have been running in the oil fields since day 1 of getting my CDL, so 6 months of driving experience. Got my Hazmat back in January, and have been applying for propane and class B fuel hauling. Cant even land an interview here in central Texas.
Thanks for this video. This is one of the jobs I may attempt to get into. Every one seems to want two years experience here in south Texas. I’ve been a school bus driver for about 8 years. Over the summer got my Hazmat and now working on getting my tanker endorsement in the coming weeks. Gonna get into either propane or roll off driving. Or I’ll tough it out with the school buses one more year then go to school for my class A the next summer and probably still end up delivering fuel of some sort or doing roll off. Either of those jobs is looking very Interesting.
Thank you for sharing. Sales rep for a parts supplier and was wanting to tag along with a tech one day. Was informed that wouldn't happen so this is definitely the next best thing.
Where's the fill valve adapter at the end of the hose nozzle for situations where the fill valve gets stuck in the open position? Should probably start doing that
I’m thinking about getting my hazmat. What are the usual start and end hours everyday? Do propane delivery drivers start at 8am and finish at 430pm? What are the hours and is it M-F?
Recently had a propane truck parked at my industrial lot. Huge clouds of white smoke coming out the back. Almost as if he was draining the tank? Can you explain what was going on?
Idk about this company, but at mine it is not seasonal but does slow down in Summer. Pay isn't as much as you'd expect hauling flammable gas around. As for weekends and holidays you'd only work during bad winter storms or emergencies and when a customer runs out of gas(sometimes)
@@joshtaylor4285 at my company they have mandatory on call weeks per month most of the calls I’ve got I can’t really do much but red tag and switch off the tank because they’re more of a service call then a gas call my company needs more service guy’s but they won’t hire anymore
I delivered propane in the adirondack mountains. Expect winter (freezing temperatures) by late October to late April. Winter gets progressively worse with heavy snow and -20 F in the morning to a high of 0 . Most deliveries were snow covered ,no cellphone coverage running into the night. Not a job for the feint of heart. Expect 60 plus hours a week and on call which means you go out regardless of the time or weather ( when tanks run low they can emit a little gas ,so customers smell it,call in a gas leak emergency).
Yup. I drove stick and loved it in the winter. When I went to propane it was an automatic and was fearful but most trucks have an engine brake and the shifter displays the gear you are in and can be downshiftited ( beware because with a stick you can ease the clutch in without causing a skid. Automatics will just downshift and can cause a skid)
The real i sell propane and propane accessories guy, nice

I got hired with no expierence if you're in port arthur texas i know a company that will hire you
Thanks Ive got the permit and waiting for funding to get started with the skills portion of the cdl
Very good video..thank you..
Didn’t show the people being pissed off about their bill being high or the people who come out yelling about why u are in their driveway. 😂
I love doing an extremely long pull for a "do not use driveway" for someone who gets the minimum amount.
Thank you. Nice to meet you

Actually propane is a by product of Natural Gas. Nice video keep up the good work
Great video.
Thank You so much!!! Very helpful as I am soon to be a Propane driver!! Wish me Luck!
Hard job when you have feet of snow
Not overly lol lots of driving then a walk in some snow for 5 min lol
Awesome video! Just a heads up don’t forget to not have the hose connector pointed towards you while walking your hose to the tank.😂
Where's the fill valve adapter at the end of the hose nozzle for situations where the fill valve gets stuck in the open position? Should probably start doing that
You didn’t chock your wheels 😂
You forgot to CHECK spelling.

Need to put an adapter on that nozzle, if that filler valve don’t check u gonna have a fun time
Can you do more ride along videos?
Just wondering do you have to have Hazmat Certification to be able to drive a gas and other oil delivery Truck?
Yes. Usually Hazmat/Tanker endorsements
Great video Dustin!
Recently had a propane truck parked at my industrial lot. Huge clouds of white smoke coming out the back. Almost as if he was draining the tank? Can you explain what was going on?
He was relieving pressure. Alot of times its just the pressure between 2 valves
Could’ve been a number of things happening, leak in liquid line, leak in hose connections, or a relief valve blowing off due to heat.
i seen your tire get in that guys lawn, looked like thousands in damage
Hi, is this type of work seasonal? How’s the starting pay? Is working weekends & holidays mandatory? About how many hours do you work in a week?

Propane and propane accessories
How about your chock blocks?
Do propane companies hire class b with automatic restrictions
Yes
Pretty much all the new trucks are automatic. Obviously you gotta have tanker endorsement and hazmat endorsement

Yes we hire class b
Yea I just got hired at one
Nice vid
This guy doesn't hate his job yet 😂 I loathe delivering propane
I loathed delivering heating oil and gasoline back in the late 70's too. Only lasted a couple years.
What made you hate the job?
What's the average pay for a job like this when you just start out?
25 in Massachusetts
23-25$
27.42 in Ohio
Miami 25-26 $
Santa Fe nm 20-24$..full benefits
What the pay like
Video was essentially ruined by the loud music playing while the guy is talking.
My guy isn't using a safety to fill😬
Dont forget the part about being worked like a machine until you have a psychological breakdown and suicidal thoughts.
DONALD TRUMP YEEEEE HAWWWWWWWW
Please, no music!
