    Nice video, but I want to add that it is also told that trauco can transform males into having a body as desfigured as his own; that's thought to be an explanation for the incest related malformations in people as a product of the insolated population

    • @RareEarthSeries
      @RareEarthSeries  6 років тому +60

      That isn't Trauco. It is another demon named Imbunche/Invunche. If I had been more on top of things, I would have written the story to include that legend as well.

      I actually like that idea. A *_Scooby Doo_* where they expose the supernatural phenomenon and then decide they should hide their discovery because it keeps some hiding innocent safe, or provides an impoverished town with a few tourist dollars, or some such.

    It is rather telling that these kinds of beliefs are having their last gasps in conservative isolated communities and even then most of the locals of these areas don't really believe these myths and they are mostly played up for the benefit of tourists , and no doubt there is goblin themed teatowels , spoons and other tat for you to buy as well as several interesting goblin statues to pose beside and take a selfie while some local tells you this tale.
    These beliefs are fading into quaint folklore with a almost forgotten dark past (like most folkloric stories have if you scratch the surface).

The immaculate conception was actually the catholic church's belief that Mary was born without the sin handed down to humanity from Adam and Eve. Recovering Catholic here and I was expected to know the doctrine. Lol. Nuns are awful! Most of them anyway. Safe travels

    i hope that some day, worldwide, women everywhere will be able to say aloud that they are pregnant, and be able to make the choice as tp wether or not they wish to carry the baby or abort it, especially in the case of an attacker or abuser. That women everywhere can recieve accurate and comprehensive sex education and no shame access to any kind of birth control they desire, thus greatly reducing the need for abortions. That women everywhere can recieve all of the medical care that is necessary for themselves and their babies, without sky high rediculous charges and costs. That women everywhere can hold up their heads, report rapes and abuse and recieve justice without resorting to such demeaning and degrading excuses such as "A goblin did it."
    This is an important story that needs to be shared, to raise awareness that in many parts of the world in the 21st century, women are still sugfering, shamed and worse for the crime of being born girls. Only through awareness can we start taking the steps necessary to correct these gross injustices. Thank you for making this video, while it wasn't fun or enjoyable, it showed me a sude of Chile that I was completely unaware of, and it also made me feel so lucky to have been nirn in the US, while not perfect, I do know that if I became pregnant, I would not have to suffer this type of degradation.

    • @chilenozo
      @chilenozo 6 років тому

      Well, you shouldn't compare your present life in the US with present Chile, all the stories Rare Earth is talking about are part of folklore now. In Chile rape is rape and is condemned by society and punishes through the use of law. All these myths served a (shady) purpose centuries ago. So I would suggest, if you wanna compare, you should compare what it meant to be a raped woman in the US between the 1500s and 1700s to a woman in the island of Chiloe in the same period. My guess would be that it wasn't that much different, as both countries were colonies of greedy countries.

    Jordan Peterson and yourself are representing your country ...and doing it well..not disrespecting Canada in anyway,but you don't have any ware near the representation as your neighbour in the world at large,but,****you are beating them with the quality,integrity and some brutal honesty,that's rare in these PC times...Respect ,keep on...🙂👍👏
