BMW 24v Swap Wiring basics + First start after rebuild S50B30

- In this video I am going to walk you guys through some of the wiring basics you need to be aware of in order to complete your 24v swap. This is intended to complement the swap videos that were filmed when the car was first converted.
To wrap things up, lets try to get the 24v S50 started for the first time in quite some time...wish me luck!

only if i had this video when i swapped my m20 back into my e30. this video made it much easier and i would have probably went another route.

Hello, I have an e30 manual gearbox.
With an m40 engine and buy an m50b20 with its respective branch by chance do you have the diagram for the wiring of the terminal in the connector? or do you have to get there and connect I would appreciate your help please thank you..
My connector from the e30 male side doesn’t have pins 8,9,14,15 it’s the connector that came out of the engine harness from the m20
Depending on what year, model and options, these can all differ. Are you asking for help or are you stating that you didn’t have those?
@@SaltCityEuros I need help trying to finish this wiring seems I don’t have those 4 pins and I can’t seem to find a legit step by step process on wiring the m50 harness to the e30 body harness
I NEED to know what everybody is doing for exhaust setups. I was told ebay headers would work, and that the OEM exhaust manifold would work as well. Both point directly at my right control arm
The exhaust is one part that is not bolt on. Whether you go with eBay header or OEM headers, the forward header will have to be modified in one way or another. For shorty headers/OEM, essentially picture the collector flange that is pointing straight down at the subframe and control arm mount, that has to be cut, and rotated. Longtube headers DO clear, but you will need the smaller "eye ball" CAB mounts PLUS you will have to dent the header to clear the last bit. Hope this makes sense
