I've watched this video a couple of times - he mentions being able to lock the rear seat down - on my '20 LE - I can lock the back of the seat from folding down but I see no way to lock the rear seat down (prevent it from lifting up)? Am I just missing something?

The only thing about that grab handle is that, if you had something too tall like a phone standing vertically. It could be ejected into the passenger if the air bag fires. I wouldn’t mind soft stuff like wallets, but I wouldn’t want to put anything made out of metal up there
Or if the doors are off it could slide out. That’s my fear 😂

Oh Yeah, I would recommend the little fender flare extensions, from the extreme recon option. Your video on how to install on a wrangler was a 'must-watch' to allow easy installation on my 21 Mojave Gladiator. Spec-out the rivets & rivet tool, most excellent ! Thank you so much Matt! I have the Rugged ridge door sill protectors and the Rugged ridge tri-fold hard cover on the back. I think it's like the Mopar one you reference. Must have, and the bonus is, it cannot be opened when that tailgate is locked. Great to have when you go to Costco and protect the treasures on the way home.

Definitely looking into the bed step and bed mat. Also I recommend the “ Hellwig” rear swaybar. Great for towing a trailer or bed rack with RTT. Solid bar not hollow like the OE one. Not to mention less body roll.

I would say the top mods I’ve done to my ‘21 Mojave is a front bumper and winch, and molle bed panels. Those allow me to keep my recovery gear, and some other tools out of the way. The bed of the Gladiator is small, and the molle panels are a must. Oh yeah, also can’t forget about the BAK roll up tonneau cover. That thing is great.

All weather floor mats are better than carpet mats, but the Armorlite flooring kit is by far the best solution as it deletes the carpet completely.

Two must have mods for me on my Gladiator were the front hood lift struts, I hate the manual rod that holds up the hood, and then one of the best additions to my JT that I have ever made was the Bestop Sunrider for hard top. That mod is fantastic, well worth the money.

The passenger grab tray is a must. Just line the bottom with a thin rubber surface. Sunglasses and keys tend to slide … another great vid Matt

The roll up tonneau cover is the way to go. Every set of door entry guards that I have bought have never allowed for a good seal at the bottom of the door, The last set I bought was from rugged ridge, and when the doors are closed, you can see light coming in from the bottom of the doors, so the last couple Jeeps I have used 3M nonskid tape, it comes in about 4 inches wide, super heavy-duty and the adhesion is great, it also looks great.

Great content as always! Was wondering if you have ever seen a sling/swing mod for a passenger seat? I know thats not NTSB approved but i need it as a disabled passenger. Think hammock, spreading body weight over the qhole body and not just the lower back. Thanks any who read and respond to this missive. Haha!
I got the grab handle tray and I was annoyed by the stuff sliding side to side So, I glued black felt and it works fantastically.

I get the deathwobble about 1 of every 5 decent holes I hit driving on the Freeway/Interstate and it lasts about 5-10 seconds... feels kind of like a flat tire. Took it to the dealer and since they couldn't get the same thing to happen, it wasn't covered by warranty.
Always great channel even I've never driven Gladiator almost got Pumpkin all modes with it . Used but like old saying day late it was purchased week later .

I’d love some opinions of upgrades for the diesel Gladiator. I have a ‘22 as a daily, and recent mods were Mopar electric brake controls, AirLift 1000 rear airbags, & leveling kit.

Great video! It must have been difficult finding gladiator mods different from wrangler since they're so similar. I know a lot of Jeepers think the Gladiator is just a Wrangler with a truck bed. Im kind of one of them. Do you think you could ever make a video really explaining (to dummies like me) the true differences? That would be awesome.

Matt, you should try a JMS DRIVE BY WIRE THROTTLE ENHANCEMENT DEVICE . IT TAKE THE LAG OUT OF YOUR JEEP, AND HAVING A 6 SPEED crank the device up to 100% and it will launch give it a 8 cylinder take off !! Amazing !!!

Locking that rear seat down (at around the 8 minute mark), is that optional with that specific tray or is that standard on all gladiators? I can lock the top on mine but not the bottom one and I have a lot of stuff there that I'm usually afraid they might get stolen when I have my regular doors off (I usually have tube doors for it when I have the actual doors off), I hope that's standard and I just haven't noticed. Thanks in advance.
I have a 23 Gladiator Rubicon. It doesn't have the lower rear seat lock down. They changed that mod. The rear seat back locks. The storage mods are good for the price.
The turn signal extender is "currently unavailable" on Amazon, what happened?
Does the passenger grab tray affect the airbags in a collision. Do items stored there become projectiles?

I have run a ton of kits I’ve just enjoyed the Clayton the most! I run fox on mine!
Does the amp step work with aftermarket bumpers?

I skipped the tonneau cover and went with a Bestop Supertop. Gave me much more versatility than a tonneau

Jeep really needs to put a 2 door Wrangler cab on a Gladiator frame with a 6ft+ long bed already. Anything less than 6ft isn't enough.

@@DIRTROADCRED It would be a 4 seat 2 door long bed Gladiator, They'd need to make a new bed but otherwise they'd be able to keep 99% of the body bits that come with a Jeep Wrangler 2 door body.
The only way I don't see them selling decently well is if they make it a super expensive special edition variant only and or they only offer it with an automatic transmission.
It looks like the new Tacoma will be getting rid of its manual and with that it would mean the Gladiator is the only new "mid sized" Truck available in the US with a manual transmission. That'll wake a lot of people up.
I purchased a new 2020 jeep gladiator rubicon and the steering box was aluminum with aluminum bolts that caused the steering wobble on my factory mud tires 🛞 whatever size the tires are from the factory I think it’s 33 inches but I don’t know 🤷 for sure. Anyway the dealership replaced the aluminum steering box under warranty with a steel steering box and it fixed the steering wobble for me. Just an fyi . Also I deleted the stop start battery because it’s a total failure on jeep manufacturers part to keep the stop start shit show going causing customers to have to remove the product or face dead batteries. All in all I still own my 2020 jeep gladiator rubicon and now years later and a lot of headaches I believe I have removed all of the shit show products jeep burdened their customers with at the factory Like start stop crap.
So I heard you say they might be putting 37s on one of the jeeps do you know what gear ratio they’re running?

My Fox shocks are junk, front 2 being replaced under warranty Mojave. Terrible creaking noise. On back order from China of course.
