Awesome weekend, this was my mate and mines first OMM...it was tough (especially for a 51 and 58 year olds) but highly enjoyable event. Congratulations on your 20th OMM 👍🏻
Cheers. I remember my first OMM. Unlike anything I had ever done before. We were hopelessly over time on the first day. Glad you enjoyed it, it is a unique event ( and the weather can be so much worse ! )
Unfortunately ( or fortunately ) I missed that one as I had just had twins. By all accounts it was quite exciting. I did do the 2008 Borrowdale one which got cancelled.
Same for us. We ended up camping in the barn at the finish. Our friends got taken to Cockermouth for bacon sandwiches, tea and a warm gym and mats to sleep on !
@huntonthetrails Sounds excellent. We thought bugger that and headed over Honister, ignored the police who told us to turn back ( ridiculous as all our spare kit was now wet and we would've been in real trouble if we'd listened to them). We moved the car to the barn, after wading through chest deep water on the road. Eventually the flooded road unblocked itself and we made it to the Swinside through scenes of devastation. Met Yiannis who had also escaped and spent the night in the village hall! We ran the NW Fells the next day. An all round superb weekend!

A great record of our 2-day adventure - excellently put together as always. Another story to look back on in our dotage! 🙂
Oh, and massive congratutlations on the 20th event badge! Five more to go for me!
I can still feel the pain !
Congratulations on the achievement Andy, it looks great fun but I'd struggle getting just one of them! Amazing!
Cheers Phil. I'm finding this event harder as I get older. It makes you appreciate a hot shower when you get home. 😁
Congratulations on your 20th. Did you do the Hiwgills 98? That was my 1st KIMM and a pretty memorable one at that.

@huntonthetrails That was a good one, too. We were gutted when they cancelled as we were doing pretty well on day 1.
