Crazy how the cow just dropped, frightening ,, hopefully she recovers and delivers live calves ❤
Crawford, the cow’s syncopal spell coupled with high heart rate suggests a cardiac arrhythmia. You mention heart attack as a possibility - the arrhythmia could result from that. The additional stress from pregnancy is another factor. Is pregnancy toxemia a possibility? Love to hear all avenues the vet is investigating.
Re scraping your passage (eeeuw) in the long run stick some brackets on a industrial tyre scraper, cos scraping with a bucket is gonna knacker your concrete and the mesh is going to start popping through, bad in a silage clamp, disaster in a feed passage 👍
Loved the verdict on the Defender shes been broken down for ten months so only done 2000 miles.
Glad no calves or Betty were under the cow when she went down.
Fingers crossed for her.
And thats no way to tske a fence out. Lol😊😊😅😊
Land Rover deFENCER🤣 7:25
Doubled the appeal and value of the Defender, throwing that bauble in the back 😉😊
Bless her, you can only do your best mate... so frustrating when things like that happen
Maybe that cow had a seizure.
Defender passed! Cow passed out, Dog passed on the “like”. Another great video but that cow was very dramatic!
Cow seizure, her ears were twitching at first - I hope it’s not kidneys, but we do that kind of stuff when our vitamins or electrolytes are off, anything that can affect nerve conduction. Heart arrhythmia, maybe - but really strange how quick all her nerves seized and she lost whole body muscle tone to support her weight. When people do that, it’s usually vitamin B deficiency or severe calcium/potassium imbalance. I don’t wanna think the worst, hope she calves soon before another seizure. 🐄
My thoughts exactly
Crawford, omg!, everything today was like WHAT!!, you are having me on!! 👍🏻🐮
*It looks like she was pushed by an invisible force, by the way she goes forward!!! Lol Seriously, that was crazy, I had to rewind it a few times!!! I hope she recovers and it's nothing major!!!*
Congrats on 25K subs 🎉
Cool tip for freezing cold metal gates, wear thermal gloves… 😂 ( and yes, men do wear gloves, sometimes) 😂😂
Looked awfully like a stroke??
Can top your 66kg calf. At my work we had a 78kg limousin born out of a 4th calving monty at less than a day old. Weighed it in the sheep weigh crate. Monster. Hope to never have one as big.
That was mad...if didn't have footage and see in person would never know
With the right tool everyone’s job is a bit easier! You have a great setup!
Great video Crawford hopefully your cow comes good 🤞
A brilliant bit of woodwork, you woodwork teacher must have given you top marks 😂😂😂
You are staying ahead of the game, 👍
Dog obviously doesn’t like today’s video. No like from her
Bloody hell Crawford! Nay wonder gatelady was mortified.
I believe she had a seizure. This is something you may want to show your vet. As she was stiffening up her ear was twitching and you can see other similar movements throughout her body. Good luck and god bless
I liked and subscribed
Honestly think your cow had a seizure or that she went dizzy and just went down because before she fell she was sweying a little and then out like a light
Would it help to get a long heat lamp in for the calves to keep them a bit drier?
Why do you not feed the cow's silage or straw down the feed passage
Feed in a bunker
Hope the cow will be ok
Good job it didn't fall on that calf
Bad heart, yup we have had a few of those over the years and they usually show up as 3rd or 4th calvers not much you can do about it though we have been lucky enough and managed to get most of them to the factory, however you will often get them dead where they just feel out of their standing usually just before or just after calving ( month or so either side). The wise thing would be to go with her now and cut your losses, however as a farmer we are naturally gamblers so chance her and just don’t put her back in calf.
Crawford, got to ask.what the Bloody hell is that damded red ribbon hanging from the sun visor for.?
Scary moment just have to keep an eye on her. Snow ❄️ in spring 😂😂
A friend of mine used to start his lambing at Christmas due to the crap spring weather, it seemed to work for him.
Apparently we are always more likely to have a white Easter than a white Christmas.
It looked like a seizure
Your poor hands! Get some warm waterproof gloves like Kev 😉
That cow probably had a seizure it took a little time for her to recover from it
She fitted?
Couped like it had a case of bandit beer
🤣
You missed a trick with the land rover defender comment after taking the fence out… land rover defencer😉
That was drama in the shed….dreadful weather for everybody
Could also be theileria maybe with the paleness at both ends
almost like an electric shock ... neurological thingy whats it ... hope she does well now
He paleness makes it look like she's anemic could do with some iron it could cause the heart issues as well.
That was a seizure not a stroke as the calf could of been pushed on the wrong think and just keep her in a small stable as my best friend had one of his cows did the samething and it was the calf sitting on one of the vains in where the calf was and the cow had to stay in a stable till she had her calf and after the calf was born the cow never ever had that problem again and it was a very big calf to
Great video fu*king snow on the 9th of April 😂😂
❤
Gate lady been Dog training with your videos Crawford 😂
Hope your cow is alright i thought your dad was funny about the defender 🤣
The way it went down i instantly thought fainting, but then thought do cows faint 🤷🏻. That fall can't have been good for the calf. Could the collapse be calf related?
I doubt that the fall may have damaged the foetus in the cow from a mechanical point of view but could it have caused or suffered alternative issues, who can tell with any certainty.
Possibly could because this far on in the pregnancy the calf's demands on the mother are increasingly rapidly and hence strain on the cows needs may be just too much.
We had a cow do something like that to
Do you recon that clip will make the Farmstream Oscars Crawford?
🤞
❤❤
any news on the cow hope for the best mate
Pancake is really growing
Pretty sure I guessed 65kg for monster calf on your Instagram 🙂
Looked a bit like a seizure, her ears were twitching first, could it be something like a preg tox
👀🙄🐾👍Is the cow still alive?
Can cows have a epileptic fit ?
Stroke...? We've had cows do that to us before
Wait this reminds me of Tutu..
Land Rover Defender or Defencer😂
Did she have a seizure?
Epilepsi
A strange 1 that
She look like she had a seizure
Four inch grinder and woodwork 😂
😁
@@CrawfordsFarm1 youre some bandit 😂😂
I suppose you have a new computer smasher. A dropping cow. For no reason.
Maybe she fainted
